Good quality and long inspection date
Quality bit of kit with a good long inspection date on it. Having ordered and then returning two Draper 70147 regs due to having less than 18 months “life” left in them, I tried this one and it didn’t disappoint.

4 - 5 stars for the regulator but watch out... read on
I would give the regulator 5 stars but as regulators should be inspected or changed every 5 years and mine came stamped with only 6 months of it statutory test still in force (i.e. expires in 2015), all I can say is be careful. Lets face it Argon is pretty harlmess, but these things are in line with the full 230-300Bar of your cylinder. and need to be right. The reality is that the regulator will likely work on and on for years without fault but when buying product new like this, I would expect at least 4 years of it's 5 year test to still be valid, otherwise why buy it new? There are regulators at half the price available if you dont care about quality and standards.I can recommend buying the reg. just find a website that allows you stipulate you want a valid test or use a local dealer so you can see the product you are buying.

Second regulator - replacement sent same thing happened
The quality works for a month then the flow tap disconnects from the actual flow which is underneath it. This is mainly due to the fact they have used a plastic attachment with the thread and throughout use the thread becomes worn (after a month seems like a waste of money) I’m actually really disappointed with this product. Definitely invest your money elsewhere. This is a replacement regulator for the exact same one that did the same thing after 1 month of use and it’s done the same thing 1 month later. No way of contacting seller or speaking to Amazon about it either as return window has passed.

Superb Quality
Wow I had bought and returned several Regulators, Tried the chinese ones and they were tiny with small hose barbs, Tried an £80 sealey industrial one and it was so cheap and nasty, Tried weldgas and swp but the exit for the pipe was at a crazy angle ! This regulator Trumped the Lot ! Feels very well made and is quite heavy, Gauges read pressure well and hold pressure on mine for well days so far ! Using a £10 flowmeter on mine which i recommend as you can visually see what gas is come out the torch, I also bought a 90 degree elbow so the gauges sat in their proper position ! all in all a very nice well made regulator ! Warning though: make sure you have around 5 years of a date on it as they need replacing every 5 years as all regulators do, I got this regulator on sale and it had 4 years and a few months on it which is probably why it was half the usual price, Anyways cracking quality Regulator which i don't hesitate in recommending
