Maypole Campervan Cover Fits VW T4, T5, T6 & Ford Transit Custom, 4-Ply Breathable Water Resistant Grey with Reflectors

I've never had much luck with generic, universal fitting products before. In fact my local leisure supplier suggested not buying this item as it probably would not fit snugly, and this would lead to the item tearing in the wind. The alternative was to buy a tailored cover for over £400, well over £300 more expensive than this item. Reading the description though it did say that it was suitable for a long wheel-base high-top Ducato, and that there was room for a bike rack, side awning, and aerial. My 6m Adria 4 Twin motorhome matched this description, so considering the price I thought I'd take a chance and placed my order. The cover arrived the very next day, so after removing the spike from off my aerial (as it would have either poked through the cover or broken), with the help of step-ladders we put it on. I could not be happier, the cover fits like a glove. There is absolutely no flappy excess whatsoever, and the door zip is perfect for allowing me to get into the van easily. In fact the picture displayed by the manufacturer could be a picture of the cover as it sits on my van. No more scrubbing tree sap and algae off my roof!If your van is shorter than 6m or not a high-top, it's worth noting that there are only 3 straps across the rear of the cover which can be shortened to try and make it fit. There are no straps which go under the van. I would think that this would leave a number of loose fitting areas. (edit - there are straps which go under the van, I hadn't noticed them in the bag! It's an even better fit now). The material is much more substantial and hardwearing than on other generic covers I have seen, but I would not think that it would survive more than a couple of winters if it was stood in an exposed location. This could also lead to areas of your paintwork being rubbed away.

A reasonably priced product, that fitted our Hightop Toyota Hiace camper perfectly, although a different shape and height to the VW camper for which it was intended. It took two of us to put it on, and adjust it, but the fit was snug and wind and weather-proof, and the two big curved zips that allow door access, very strong. Lightweight and easy to store in its own stash bag when not in use. Happy to recommend.

Good quality , but obviously it’s big it needs front straps or the wind gets under it and pulls it off . and it’s a real pain to put on unless you have help

Fits my BW Type 2 Tintop perfectly. It is big enough to accommodate pop tops but because i don’t have one the cover comes very low on the van, covering most of the wheels and importantly covering all the sills (sides front and back). The adjustable straps make it fit perfectly.Rainwater wicks off the surface. I had to put on the cover when the van was wet and the van dried underneath the cover so I can testify that it is breathable.At less than half the price of other covers you cannot go wrong.

Good quality fabric, good design, fits our Transit based van nicely, zips in sensible place. The rear straps hold it snug and the underbody straps are well designed. I cannot believe how they can produce this at the price. Highly recommended

It was easy to fit over my T5 lwb campervan. The zips and straps look very durable. Simple one-man job. Didn't have to undo the zips. It slipped over easily. I left the mirrors in the parked position. Highly recommend.

Although only used a few times to date (applied and removed 3 times so far) this cover appears to be a quality product of materials that look like they should wear well. The size is just right for a VW T5 with lifting roof and side awning pod, coming down just clear of the ground both sides. At the back it has accommodated two bikes on a rack., and when these aren't in place, has tightened up perfectly with the three attached straps provided.Only slight downside - the zip openings for front doors aren't in right position / aren't big enough to allow effective opening of the doors - I find it easier to roll up the back and access using the rear doors.

We were looking to replace a wind torn Just Kampers cover and saw this. Was not sure about the fabric type as difficult to make out from the photo. I am glad that we took a punt because it's far superior to the JK one and less than half the price. It's a thick grey fabric that repeals water and uv on the outside, but probably has thermal properties and has a softer underside, which is good for protecting paintwork. The fit is slightly looser, but it had under belly straps and three back straps to secure. The recent high winds that blew away a lot of fences, didn't touch this cover. So the bottom line is I would whole heartedly recommend. BTW we have this on a 1979 Westy.
