Buying the K&N Engine Air Filters are a no-brainer if you intend to keep your car more than 40,000 miles. These filters will last as long as you own your vehicle wile increasing air flow and hence HP and mileage. The price point is slightly above an OEM filter but you'll never have to buy another. They are easy to wash and re-oil which means you can always have the best airflow by cleaning it more frequently. I clean mine at every oil change so as to not forget. I have purchase these filters for 6 different cars and intend to keep buying then whenever I change vehicles or until switching to electric. I intend to try the K&N Cabin air filters next and expect the same superior performance and value. Also, this is NOT a paid endorsement and I was not given the product. It is simply a terrific product and am pleased to share my experience with it. How rare is that?

Higher flow and washable/reusable. Need I say more? In my lifetime I have also had several cars dyno'd before and after installing K&N drop in filters, and I have always seen horsepower increases. On my last car I dyno'd, it was a 2005 Mazda RX-8 6 speed, and I gained 5 rear wheel hp and 2 rear wheel torque, for just $45. And you have to consider that there are lots of products you install on your car thinking you get hp, but you either don't, or you lose torque in gaining hp. Which is usually not a good trade-off. Some cars have been tested and gained 40+ hp, I believe the Mustang GT500 was one of those. So replacing your stock filter with a high-flow K&N is a no brainer.

I have been buying k&n for awhile now. From our Toyota Hilux D4D diesel, mazda cx-9 and now for this mazda cx-3.It does save you money in the long run. Just follow the cleaning instructions PLEASE. And it will last forever. If it is your first time trying out this type of filter and coming from the OEM filter installed. You will be surprised with the better acceleration and power you get from your car.
