Reasonable quality for the money
Works very well with 4TB SSD I installed. Only negative is cheap/lightweight plastic but build quality is acceptable for the money.

Excellent for the price, a few notes though
The enclosure is wonderfully engineered, and Orico have earned a great reputation for reliability on top of great prices, it looks and feels premium and is extremely easy to setup.Had trouble getting Windows to recognise at first but recognised and reformatted the internal SSD to ExFAT straight away on my Mac, after which windows had no issues either. Gets the cable/ports rated bandwidth just fine, even with another(correctly rated) cable to get USB A. It is important to note that despite being USB-C this has no thunderbolt certification which means PCIE limited features that might work on some propriety enclosures like firmware updates, access from apps like Samsung magician, SMART features etc. probably won't work and you'll have to spend 3-4x as much on a rare thunderbolt certified enclosure or use SATA directly.I highly recommend getting at least a TLC SSD or a reasonably fast shock resistant 2.5 inch HDD as it is extremely easy for slower QLC and many HDDs to severely bottleneck the enclosure/ports too, its basically the perfect match for TLC SSD 2.5 inch drives, which happen to be the best value flash storage at time of writing.

This is a useful product and made with good material quality.
It's good but the difference in price between colours isn't fair.

Don't forget to format drives as FAT32 to read but other than that these enclosures are brilliant.
Easy to open but secure, run at a good speed have bought several after the first, as they are nice ad uncomplicated, mechanical drives need 1 Amp of power so good for a laptop or powered usb hub but not OTG compatible for phones from my experience have not tried it with android tablets though. excellent value and easy to use.

Disappointed and frustrated.
I ordered this rather cheep usb3 enclosure for my son to use with his new computer. Delivery was quick(1*). Unfortunately my son said that his pc does not have usb3 so I kept the enclosure in my drawer. I have recently bought aPCIe usb card that I have installed I in my computer. To my surprise the Pc could not recognise the ssd in the enclosure though the blue light is on. I tried another usbC cable with no luck. I thought it could be the usbC port on the card is faulty as my usb3 A type work on the other usb ports on the card, so I ordered usbC to usbA adaptor to try the enclosure with the usbA port, same result light but no connection. I then ordered a different usbC enclosure called ManxData which arrived today. This immediately worked with the same cables and ports. This confirmed to me that the problem is with the Orico enclosure. I have been trying to find out how to deal with this as the option of return is closed and I don’t get the option of the contacting the seller. I am stuck with a product that is not working and costed me more to try to work out what was wrong. My message to customers check your stuff emmediately, before you store them. I feel that the option to contact the seller should remain available when you review your order especially when the item is sold by Orico itself.

Power light ON but disk NOT recognised?
My SSD worked fine. None of my Scorpio HDDs worked - the power light came on but no sign of the disk appearing on my laptop.Solution: I found the HDDs worked with the cover off and the end of the disk not pushed into the base. Pushing the disk fully home (required for thicker HDDs to get the cover to slide on) resulted in a disconnect. I snipped the two tiny tabs at the far end of the caddy to give the HDD more room. This worked, the tabs were forcing the drives too far in, or at a bad angle to the connector.

Light weight - easy to fit and high speeds for my old HDDs
Bought a few of these as I had a bunch of internal disks laying around. Now I am using them. These were easy to fit. Look good. Work well. On a USB 3 port I'm getting data transfer rates of over 100MB/s so the speed is what it is supposed to be.
