Original review at bottom, had issues with the original pump. The seller reached out to see if they could assist, sent me two new pumps to see if either would solve the issue. The fountain is now nearly silent, they only time I can hear it is when it is low on water the pump turns off then the water raises and the pump turns on again, water lowers so it turns off again until we fill it. The light turns red to indicate it needs more water, and replacement filters are cheap and easy to install. I very much recommend this fountain for any pet ownerSuper loud, it holds a good amount of water but anytime it gets close to half full it makes loud noises like the pump isn’t running correctly. With how much my dog drinks I have to refill it consistently even thou it isn’t close to empty line. Looking to purchase a different one soon.

Great product, but although I have a very simple instruction, leave with receptionist only, the amazon driver was just going to leave it outside the office. She was quite rude when corrected.

Easy to put together and works great. Good product for price does exactly what it says… mech filter gets clogged by my big dog from getting a drink after eating. I have to clean it weekly and finding filters at a local store is impossible but they have them here on Amazon definitely recommend for small dogs or cats if you have multiple bigger dogs the mesh filter will get clogged and you’ll have to clean it a lot.

Overall this is a nice water dish. I like the large capacity and the ease of cleaning. I like the indication light and the auto power off when the water level reaches its lowest point. The thing that I don't like is that I have to clean it 2-3 times a week due to the poor design of filter.The material the filter is made of is way too thick to filter the water properly. After 2 days of use the filter is full of slime from the dog's drool and needs to be rinsed. With that the water doesn't actually go through the filter it's just passing over the top and going directly back into the bowl, thus defeating the purpose of the filter.The bowl the filter sits in only has two slits for spouts for the return of the "filtered" water to the bowl. That also prohibits the filter from functioning properly. I think the charcoal filter needs to be redesigned for better performance, and it would work better and have less cleaning to be done. Well, I rated too soon. After the 3rd cleaning for the week, the pump stopped pumping the water it's running but now pumping the water as it should be. And because it's past the return time I'm stuck with a now useless water bowl and have to purchase another one.

Lasts longer than expected with my pets. They only drink for this and not their other water bowls. I will be getting another

The pump intake on this fountain is high enough in the reservoir that it starts chugging loudly when there is still a gallon of water left in it. This makes it function effectively like a 1-gallon fountain. Needs a redesign.Otherwise it's fairly easy to clean. The light on mine didn't work properly the moment it was unboxed; the light is blue no matter what, even when the water gets low.

This is a absolutely wonderful water fountain for the babies. It's quite and very easy to change the filter. I love that it filters the water first.

I have 3 dogs and 3 cats.I bought this fountain and another large fountain about 1 year ago.The other one didn’t last a year so I don’t know why I’m surprised that the pump in this one completely stopped working.It was quiet if there was enough water but even before it got low and you could see the red light indicating that it was low. The pump would get very loud.Other times I would notice the pump would get so full of just dog slobber that it would stop running. Then having to clean it was a nightmare because you’re scooping out drool and fur. Not easy to do weekly. That being said, I can’t really trust the filters to have made sure it was recycling fresh water for my pets.
