Parks the lid at a 90° angle.
I really like this tuck away lid holder, it is a great modification for my older Weber kettle. My Weber kettle did not have the preholes, but it was no problem drilling them and installing it.I have done several modifications on my Weber and this is one of the nicest and convenient.Better late than never do yourself a favor and get one.

Sneak a Peak
This bracket is great. I now can check on my food without having to find a place to set the lid and have both hands free.

This keeps the lid out of the way.
I recently refurbished a 20 year old Performer my dad gave me. It was my first real grill and I’ve cooked on it for 15 years. I love it because it’s awesome and has sentimental value so instead of just getting a new grill I bought a Master Touch kettle and installed some kettle brackets I bought off BBQsmokermods.com . (The kettle swap was not too difficult, I did learn some lessons I will share after the review.)For those who are looking into this lid holder this IS the model that allows the lid to open a full 90°. The lid holder the Master Touch came with didn’t.Lessons I learned with my conversion...1) You will need an angle grinder to trim the bolts otherwise it makes it difficult to put in the grate. Definitely something you don’t want to fiddle with when you have a bed of hot coals on the cooking grate!2) If you do cut the bolts while they are installed, protect the enamel coating inside of the kettle from the flying hot magma ripping off the bolt/screw.3) My performer had just enough space to keep the nuts out of the cooking area by having the flatter phillips head on the inside and having the nuts on the outside. I found this out after I attempted to use my plancha and I couldn’t get it past the nuts.
