I absolutely love these boots. They're comfortable, they look good, and I feel like they'll keep my feet and ankles safe in just about any situation. I literally wear them every day.

MOST COMFORTABLE BOOTS EVER!!
I ORIGINALLY got introduced to these through work. Incredible comfort and full support. I cannot recommend these enough. They also hold up for years of rough warehouse work environment. These go through 13 hour days without allowing my feet to get tired or sore and that alone blew my mind. I HAVE FOUND THESE SURPRISINGLY STABLE ON ICE AS WELL WHEN WORKING.Still going strong since 2022. I bought this pair for myself to wear away from work for hikes, etc. Excellent for hikes.

Great boot with a few drawbacks
Out of the box, these boots fit great. Like pretty much every boot ever made the insoles need replaced with something else, so that was expected. Great cushion and support from the midsole and outsole, as well as good slip resistance on wet and/or greasy surfaces. But there are a few downsides.First, the gusset in the zipper is WAY too narrow. In order to make the side zip usable, I have to leave the laces in the ankle half as tight as I would like for proper support. Kind of defeats the purpose of a side zip boot if you can't lace it the way you want and just zip in and out. The zipper itself is quite robust, so I will give it that. Also, the composite toe is a bit long and has a tendency to dig into my pinky toes if I'm leaning back against a surface. During normal wear/walking it isn't an issue, but when I lean back at a 45° angle against a wall or bench, the edge of the toe cap digs in and becomes quite uncomfortable after a few minutes. And another (REALLY annoying) thing: the laces will randomly decide to loosen, usually at the most inopportune moment when I have the least time to be bothered to retighten and retie them. Bootmakers, can we, maybe, I dunno, NOT with the slippery laces already?Overall I'm mostly happy with these boots after 6+ months of daily wear, but will more than likely be looking at alternatives when they near the end of their life.

Best boots I’ve owned so far.
I work armed security and am in EMT school, so I needed new boots for clinicals and on the job. These boots check all the boxes. I’ve worn boots as cheap as Rothco jungle boots, and budget Bates boots. The Bates were ok once a good insole was introduced. That being said I didn’t realize how mediocre the bates were until I put these on. They were comfortable right out of the box, and the sizing fits like a glove. I’ve worn them all day for two days, and so far I’m very impressed. If you’re looking for new boots as a first responder, construction worker, you work in a warehouse, or you’ll simply be on your feet a lot, I highly recommend these. I was leery of buying 5.11 boots over a company such as Thorogood or Danner, but I’m glad I took a chance, and you should too.

Great for the price!
With size 15 feet it's hard to find good workbooks. Normally I pay 400$-500$ for a decent pair. However this is the second pair of these I've bought and, when these give out, I'll certainly be buying a third. My job has me out in every environment imaginable, from wet and muddy rice fields to rocky hills and everything in between. These boots hold up to the nastiest conditions, and they're comfortable even during a long day in 115 degree heat. My only complaint is that they like to slip on oily tow truck beds, but I've yet to find a pair of boots that don't send me skidding down the deck when I've got oil or other automotive fluids on my bed.

5-11 is not what they used to be time move on
First off i hate leaving bad reviews. I've worn 5-11 for over a decade. My brother used to work for Boeing and Gulfstream and put me on. Im a chef, I know cops and EMS workers who all wear 5-11 and we all say for 230$ boots they don't last like they used to. All you had to do was keep them oiled and change the insoles every 4-6 months and they would take a pounding. Now a month in they'rw scratched not scuffed, scratched and the slip and oil resistant bs. I almost bust my ass first day in my brand new pair. Maybe I'm just pissed but their not even comfortable to wear anymore. I'm lucky if I get a good solid year in them now with the last few pairs. Will definitely be my last pair. Time to fine something else.
