I Am Dragon

I have watched this beautiful love story many times. Decided I just have to get the DVD/Blue-Ray disc. I love Dragon movies that are not hurting or killing the Dragons. Wonderful actors and actresses. Great music.

This movie was different than we expected, but we enjoyed it.

Of most fantasy movie, this is one of the greatest! The story between the two main characters is so special, you wanna sit to the end of the movie, and ask yourself, could it be more than that?Strip away the fantasy element with the dragon, the movie is still fascinating, and it may even get the boys that mostly like action, to sit to the end too. And I am not a dragon, but I am mostly for action.This movie is one of few that gave me the joy to watch it, as The Green Mile also did.About the characters, you will feel for both of them, hope they will live through the first day, and so on.I Am Dragon may also prove a great fantasy movie don't need a huge city, a lot of special effects (but they did a great work with the dragon, when the effects was needed). And a lot of great actors. But it isn't just the two main character, it have more. The focus is still mainly with this young woman, and her unknown friend, as he begin to be.This fantasy movie is one of many that I will watch over again, but this will be one of the first.The movie have both the original language, and a dubbed one. It's only the original language that have english subtitle, so I watched it as I use to watch the movies, with the original language. So subtitles was a savior for me to understand the movie.I give I Am Dragon all the stars it have earned.

Interesting variation of Beauty and the Beast

Now to finally review the movie.... just as expected from what I watched from the trailer.... it was overall a well done movie, saw it twice acually. Got to give props to the camera work, makes it seem like a classic fantasy flick people watched in the 80s-90s The music here is also nice, pretty simple.... but nice. Do note that this is a russian movie, noticed that the second you put in the disk and asks you if you want to watch it in Russian with English subs, or translated English VA's.... which brings me to another point that these voices sound like they went through some kind of filter when they translated it to English..... its not noticeable unless your paying attention. I won't deduct a star for that though, because it did the job and I heard far worse in movies anyways. I must say though to call it a combination of "game of thrones" and beauty and the beast" is like the most misleading statement ever, considering none of the acual main characters dies.... or gets into any fights either. But it is a lovely love story of a girl who falls in love with a dragon..... who isn't under a curse of some stupid red flower. I don't think they have it digitally, so the only way to watch it is to buy it. Thats why the stock is in 1-3 weeks for amazon. But oh look, amazon took my advice and removed the mixed reviews... im acually surprised. Just buy it when you can.

Kept my interest - flowed nicely - enjoyable. I have watched it several times since purchasing.

This movie is in a league of its own. In all my 46-years on Earth I can't think of another movie I've watched that could compare to this beautifully rendered love story. I was enthralled from the beginning, and by the end I was a sobbing mess.I Am Dragon is going to be right up there with Willow and Ladyhawke on my list of movies to watch multiple times throughout the year. It's clean, it's got a well-developed history involving dragons, the characters are endearing, and the dragon is OMG gorgeous!! It's masterfully produced and directed and the special effects are top notch. The protagonist is lovable and the acting is second to none!I know I gushed about how great the movie is, but I just finished watching it and needed to share my thoughts while they're fresh!If you live fantasy with a romantic twist, buy it! Watch it with the English subtitles, they're easy to follow and the actors don't talk so fast that you can't keep up. The dragon's Russian voice is (enter angelic choir here).
