The idea of a key rack that allows all the keys to be seen has always looked cluttered and unkempt. I was looking for something to hang the keys on, but somehow hide them. I thought perhaps a shelf, anything that I could possibly put a doily to cover over the keys.What a surprise to find this. Perhaps I live in a cave but I have never seen a key BOX for storage.This design fits perfectly with my eclectic style. Vintage lace work done in wood. I have the distressed white, but it could be painted any color you choose. Inside it has 6 hooks for key rings. The bottom is a nice shelf width to set individual items.I used 2 screws, 1 to actually hang the key storage box, and 1 to screw the unit on the inside to the wall, holding it snugly in place.The door closes and locks nicely, keys hidden. I have gotten several compliments already.This is the answer to keys being left everywhere, the end of "Where are my keys?". I no longer participate in looking for anyone's keys if they just leave them laying around.This is design perfection for me. The answer to keys everywhere. I am happy to highly recommend this item.

I love that I don't have to look at all the keys and it keeps us from having random extra keys that don't even use. I like that it shuts and looks like an ornamental object instead of a key rack.

I replaced a mail sorter with 3 key hooks on the bottom for this lovely cabinet when I was renovating my home. It has a much nicer look and hides the messy-looking keys. It also has a lot more key hooks. Instead of cramming 5 peoples sets of keys plus a spare onto three hooks, everyone now gets their own key hook which makes it easier to find the keys as well. When closed it's a cute looking cabinet that adds aesthetic appeal to the wall. The door feels like it's made out of a different material than the rest of the cabinet which is little odd but not bad. The latch is simple and easy to use and keeps it securely closed when latched. Overall,I think it was an excellent buy.

I lke this. It is done well. Looks good. What I am not liking is the way it lays upon the wall. It might be me, it might be the wall or perhaps the material used to afix to the wall. Can't get it flat on the wall. If I could, then 5 stars.

Finishing is very rough even for a rustic look item. The holes for the screws holding the hinges were useless. The screws popped out as soon as I opened the package and the holes had splintered so much that they no longer held the screws. We ended up gluing the hinges in place. The mounting hardware was really cheap. It's what you would use for a small picture frame you never touch, not a key box you need to access daily. It was easy enough to just drill it directly into the wall so that's what we did to secure it properly. It is a pretty box though.

This is a very attractive key box with 6 hooks. Each hook can hold 2 keyrings, maybe more if small. The only thing that could be improved is the hanging hardware. It has a picture frame 'sawtooth' hanger already installed. The problem with it is that when the key box door is opened, the weight of the door makes the box swivel, which will eventually mar your wall. Be prepared to use both anchors provided with your own metal loops or similar. That's a minor quibble and it's very nice for the price!
