Initially, I ordered one of these replacement Chevy key fob shells. It was delivered quickly and appeared as described. The plastic and fastening tabs on this fob are a little different than the original equipment Chevy key fob; the plastic seems to be slightly thinner and the tabs in slightly different locations on the fob. I'd judge the quality of the new fob, probably an 8.5 - 10, as compared to the original equipment fob. Using some small eyeglass type screwdrivers, being gentle, and taking my time, the original key fob was able to be disassembled and the internal "board" was easily transferred and fit properly into this new key fob shell. Before closing the fob for reassembly, I installed a new battery into this new fob and I tested the new fob with my vehicle. All functions worked properly with my vehicle. I then closed/reassembled the fob. It closed easily and securely. This new replacement fob fit easily and comfortably into my pants pocket. Seeing how well this key fob shell worked for me, I purchased a second one to replace the other original key fob that I had. This second one worked as well as the first.I would recommend this product !Note: For one of these two replacement key fob shells, I also purchased a silicone cover. This key fob shell easily slid inside the silicone cover. I purchased the silicone cover to protect the plastic of the fob from "clacking" against the steering column of my vehicle and also to cushion the fob from possible scratching or damage during normal use and/or if dropped. This replacement key fob inside of the silicone cover works well.

Pictured one shows to be chrome sides but it is just painted black. It was easy to put the innards from the original inside of the new case. And now the key fobs work great.

Purchased for a friend. She broke the case to her remote and the dealer told her the only fix was to buy a new remote and have it set up by them. I told her we'd buy this case, and put the guts from her working remote in it and no reprogramming would be required. I ordered it and shortly after it arrived, I swapped out the guts from her remote and she was back in business for little more cost than a fast-food burger and fries. A far cry from the several-hundred dollar quote from the dealer. It fit well and was easy to do, and it's been working great since day one.

No. The comfort it brings me have a fully functioning key fob is undeniable. Keyless Option provided me with an excellent product which was easy to convert and install. Within a minute I was back in business with a reliable key fob.I am a very satisfied customer.

My original fob was really worn down with most of the print gone and the texture rubbed off. Bought this one to replace the case and don't regret it!Very easy to install, features some "metal" pieces, which I think is pretty fancy. The buttons feel pretty hard to press, but I love that. The texture feels really nice. Overall, it make the keys feel brand new as if you just bought the vehicle. Owned it for a few months and still holding strong and mostly new condition.

It's a pretty simple to replace. Pry the old case and swap the guts to the new one. The battery is a little difficult to remove from the old case and install into the new one. Otherwise, it is a few minutes to complete the job.

Case is too tight for the internals. Makes the buttons super sensitive. Just barely touching the buttons would lock/unlock the vehicle. Definitely looks better than the originals, just wish they functioned as well.
