Q: I have a slanted ceiling, can this mount pivot so the pole is vertical on slanted ceiling?

The pole is not made to go on a slanted ceiling.

The main pool is about 1 inch wide. The adjustable center pole is about 3/4

Q: Have a tv niche that is 47x37. trying to hang a 65 inch tv that is 57x35 on the outside of the niche will this work

The bracket is advertised for up to a 65" TV and a maximum of 88 pounds. You should be ok as long as the bracket is mounted correctly. Hope this helps.
