I got this to compliment the steam shovel I also got. It's fun in the sandbox or on the beach. The shovel loads a bucketful of sand, dumps it into the metal truck bed and this truck then takes it somewhere and dumps it! The steering is a bit tricky, as it operates similar to a tank. To steer, you kind of lock one side while the other side turns, turning the entire truck. The downside of this is on thick carpet it has to kind of "drag" one side around. Not a big deal though. In a minute the grandson got the hang of that. Also, if you hold the button to dump, it will continually raise and lower the bed, as it's on a circular gear. Thus, to dump you have to know when to stop holding that button or it will just raise again. Again, easily learned by my six year old grandson. One little trick I learned if you want to use this inside, is to get a bowl of marbles. the steam shovel will grab a shovel full of marbles, dump them into the truck, which then can dump them into another bowl a few feet away. FUN to operate. I suppose if you got two sets of these, you could have little contest... which kid can transfer the most marbles in the shortest time! Good game for hand/eye coordination. I would recommend this truck.

Fun little dump truck operated by remote control. It's a bit smaller than I'd anticipated at roughly 10 inches in length, but still large enough to impress the little ones. Seems to be sturdy, which is important because it will definitely take a beating through play. The remote control is basic enough for a child to operate. The truck has a very realistic appearance. The paint color, the wheels, all the details are impressive. I got this to accompany a remote controlled backhoe/excavator, so my nephew can dig and haul dirt to his heart's content.

I like the detail & design on this RC truck. The remote works well and the functionality is great. It operates well and the truck has a good speed and functionality as well. Overall, a good RC for any child.
