Gives a good seal to tarmac repairs
Until very recently, I didn't know cold lay tarmac existed, but bought a bag to fill a trough that appeared between the road and the kerbstones of our driveway entrance. Filled it and realised I needed to seal the edges or the tarmac was just going to get worn away. This worked a treat. Cut it with scissors, remove the plastic, lay it along the join and heat it with a plumber's blow torch (which was quite fun). It's still holding firm six months later and will hopefully get us through the winter without the tarmac breaking up.

Easy to use, effective
Stuck to roll a bit, did the job

Sticky
I found this stuff quite tricky to handle but, with practice, I got a good result. A couple of things to consider:Try unwrapping it before you start laying it because the edges of the roll tend to weld themselves togetherClean all the dust off the area where you will be applying it otherwise you wont get it to stick so well. I used a leaf blower to get rid of all the loose stuff.Keep the backing tape on as you lay it otherwise it tends to stretch. If it is stretched, as you heat it, it will shrink back and you end up with gaps. But do take the backing off before you go near it with any heat otherwise it wont come off.I used an old Black and Decker heat gun rather than gas and it worked well albeit rather slowly.I was using it to seal the edges of some Maccrete repairs I made to the drive and heating the Maccrete made it really soft. I ended up hosing the whole lot down when I was finished because it was all still a bit soft and sticky.

Be careful whilst unrolling
Works really well, used for filling cracks and gaps between sections of tarmac (pre filled larger gaps with loose bag of tarmac) I threw sand over the tape whilst it was still hot to make a rough surface all seems to be ok

Put it in the fridge overnight if it's warm weather
If it's warm weather it becomes impossible to handle - can't cut it, sticks to itself and your fingers rather than the tarmac. Wasted half the roll learning this the hard way. Think of Brer Rabbit and the tar baby. Overnight in the fridge and it was fine.

Perfect crack repair material
We used this on a 3metre diamond cut cable trench join in the Tarmac and a metre long crack, all were perfectly sealed with just a strip laid over the joints and the crack and very satifying gas torched to liquid, the materia seeped into the joins and waterproofed it really well, Will use this avery time from now on

Waste of money.
I followed the instructions by the letter and still is sticks to itself become impossible to use. I ended up throwing 80% of it in the bin as one big ball of sticky gunk. What a waist of my hard earned money. If I were you would give this stuff a miss.
