The outside tap connector I had kept popping the hose pipe off, giving me plenty of good water pressure spray back over me pants. I guess it was simply tired and worn out like its owner.I see I can buy plastic ones but am really pleased with this one. A good heavy weight to it and simply screws on to my 3/4 inch tap. Naturally Hozelock hose simply clips on and stays in place. The relief, for simply a fiver. Let me know if this is useful for you!

Well worth it. Ditch the plastic and go metal. I always wondered why my nurseryman father never used any hozelock type connectors preferring copper pipes and jubilee clips to join hoses! I know now why, plastic is not strong enough when you need the pressure. Swappwed all my hose pipe fittings out for the metall ones and a) no leaks and b) proper water pressure. They are well worth it. Get the tap end (like this) and if you are using plastic hozelock ends, swpa them for the metal ones, cheap and do the job, Brilliant if you have a karcher pressure washer.I highly recommend!

I feel comfortable enough having tried pretty much every hose and hose connector going. So I can say pretty confidently that I will never spend another penny on any garden hose related item except hozelock. Yes they are expensive, but they fit perfect, they don’t leak, they don’t become brittle and cause your garden to flood till you find it. 5 years and counting on my hozelock ultimate & metal set up. I’m running two sets of these and they are as good today as when I bought them!!!

I bought this tap connector to leave permanetly attached to the outside tap in my back garden. I was annoyed with plastic tap connectors perishing after being left outside over the winter. I had the unfortunate feeling of the equivalent plastic models crunching in my hands all too many times. I wanted a permanent solution, and this metal option is truly one of the times when you will buy once and not regret it. I have left this on my outside tap for approx 6-7 years now and it still looks as good as the day it was delivered. If you were to ever get a few drips leaking then a quick application of PTFE tape would solve the issue in less than a minute. Plenty videos on Youtube that show the correct technique to apply it (who would have known there is a technique!). A worthwhile investment and I believe this will last for many years to come!

I've been using Hozelock items for years and they would definitely be my first choice. The new metal connectors and spray guns are a brilliant upgrade. I needed a new spray gun and decided to buy the metal gun and connectors also. They are great quality and I feel that they will be more efficient than the plastic that sometimes seem to stick when they get a bit old and brittle. The tap connector went straight on even though my tap is very old and needs changing. The hose conector feels very secure when fixed on and turns around easily.
