Extra Pricey!
$40 for 5 ounces of anything is way too pricey for me to order this product again. It has a nice fresh scent and it didn't strip the color from my 'natural black' dyed hair. I would love to find something similar that's a bit cheaper. For those that can afford it, this product is worth a try.

I'm inept with this kind of thing but...
I did like using this clay wash as a purifying step in my hair routine. It smells nice with a fresh scent. I have color treated hair and it did not affect my color at all or cause any fading or bleeding. My challenge is that I have a hard time getting something on my scalp without getting it all over--and I have LONG hair, so that's a lot of wasted product if I can't get it where it's supposed to be. I can't get it to my scalp if I dispense into my hands, so I tried instead to use the nicely designed nozzle to apply directly to parted sections of my hair, right to my scalp, and then massage from there. I feel like I ended up using a LOT of product this way, probably way more than I needed. That reduces the value and puts this in a "too expensive" category for me. It's too bad because I do like the results. My oily scalp felt clean and fresh and my hair overall felt marginally softer.

Moisturizing
This clay mask was easy to apply. It left my hair looking and feeling moisturized. I feel it’s a good price

The bottle didn’t come sealed.
The bottle didn’t come sealed so some of the product was lost before it got to me. There was still plenty for me to try out and it did and I was underwhelmed. I’ve never used clay shampoo before so I didn’t really know what to expect but I did expect a difference of some kind that I didn’t see. The targeted nozzle/applicator seems a bit gimmick to me since you apply it to your hair and scalp and then massaged it in. I use a decent amount of dry shampoo on the regular and assuming there would be buildup, I thought I would see more of a difference after using the shampoo and I really didn’t. I feel like anyone of the other every day shampoos that I use does just as good a job. I did find that I liked the scent, and it didn’t linger too long after I left the shower, which is nice. No one wants to be overwhelmed by the scent of their shampoo. I did have to use more than I thought in order to get it to suds up. It would not suds it all on the first try , I don’t know if that had to do with the buildup that is in my hair and it did actually clean that out or if it was just this shampoo. I will say I often have to shampoo my hair twice in order to truly get it clean I assume considering this is a purifying shampoo that this would only need one round and likely less shampoo than your big box store type shampoos, but I used more. And a quick note this is thick like the consistency of the thickest conditioner you’ve ever used thick. Overall, I’ll say it’s a shampoo it cleaned my hair. I will give it three stars because it did what it said it was going to do. But, for the $37 price point, and the lack of change I saw at all in my hair, I really can’t give it more than three stars.

It’s ok
I ordered this because it’s color safe as opposed to most other clarifying shampoos. I don’t use a lot of product but I also want clean hair. I honestly don’t see a difference as I do with Olaplex clarifying shampoo but as good as it is it isn’t color friendly.

Completely got me out of an oily rut
So for reference, I live in a southern tropical climate, I have thin hair (but a lot of strands), oily roots and dry ends. I was having a rough couple weeks with an exceptionally oily scalp that washing simply wasn’t helping. It would be oily again the next day for seemingly not reason. This usually means that I need something to rebalance my scalp. I usually do serums, pre-wash or rebalancing solutions, but figured I’d give this a try. I used to do clay treatments on my hair and face when I was younger with awful results—they were just too drying for my scalp and damaged ends. This was SO MUCH better! Whatever balance of ingredients this has it was exactly what I needed. It made my scalp feel super squeaky clean and refreshed and there was a noticeable difference in my oil production immediately after. I will say it is still a drying product and my ends didn’t feel the best after so remember to nourish your ends thoroughly after treatments. Obviously I wouldn’t recommend doing a treatment like this too often as it will dry you out but once every other week or so will definitely help give you a refresh! If you have healthier ends you may not experience as much drying but I would still suggest showing them a little extra love after each use. Keep in mind it also contains lactic acid which should help with acne I believe but it will make your skin more sensitive to UV rays, so be sure to wear a hat and limit sun time for a week after using, as suggested. I think for the price this is a great product and a reasonable amount of it. Highly recommend!

Not color safe
This says color safe but it is not. I could see the tint of my color washing down the drain.

Great Product
I ordered this clay wash for my teen daughter with curly hair and got pretty good feedback. Although the scent wasn't particularly pleasant, the results were great. The scent seems chalky and baby powdery, not terrible but not amazing. On the other hand the product took both of us by surprise. It had a smooth consistency, and cleansed her hair without stripping it of any oils and essential moisture. It was gentle on the scalp and left no irritation or dryness, and ultimately left her hair feeling significantly more lightweight, soft, and clean.
