Well worth the money
These have done an excellent job since I purchased them on a number of shoots.I had rental access to a range of Arri Fresnels, but needed my own lights for peace of mind.I purchased these with a bit of hesitation , but they have been outstanding.The built in dimer has been put to great use too.The build quality is very good, not on the same level as Arri, but I have faith in their construction.To protect them, I carry them around in a 45L plastic container, with all my gels and pegs in the same box.

**WARNING**
For over £100 I expected better. I work in an educational setting that delivers Television and Film production course to students, I believe these lights to be dangerous and will be getting a qualified electrician to deem them safe before use. After getting the light I noticed it hasn't got a UK plug but a 2 pin plug plus adaptor, this is dangerous as there is no fuse in either. The light did not work straight away, it couldn't be the plug as everything was in place, so removed the back of the black box which held the dimmer switch only to find the live cable wasn't attached!!!!!! I could have been electrocuted.The light is now working, but as stated above I will be giving it to an electrician before it can be used as I'm not confident that the build of it is safe.I would say buy at your own risk.

Dimmer switch broke after three uses
Dimmer switch broke after three uses, the spot/flood knob fell off both units, and they seem to go through bulbs at a rate of knots.

Excellent value
The value is excellent - good quality very powerful lamp - barn doors do a great job of controlling the light - the cons are the nature of the beast, halogen lamps get hot very quickly and bulbs are expensive- overkill for small setups indoors - this product comes into its own for larger productions

Very good for the price.
At the end of the day, light is light!So far we've had two of these 1k lights for a couple of months and they have served us well on our productions.Great price, the equivalent "professional" grade would be about six times the price.
