Great product
These are as advertised they are very sturdy. They hold the humidity in. They are very functional for what they are advertised as. They are an excellent size for starting seeds. It is easy to assemble. They have big enough drainage holes to absorb the water that’s put in the bottom of the tray and to let it leak out also back into the storage tray.

lovely greenhouse
the most perfect greenhouse i could ask for! the bottom is in two separate parts which is perfect if you need to remove it. the bottom holds water so there is no leakage, but the plants love the water at the bottom. the lid doesn’t stay on too well if it’s windy, but i have tape on it anyways just incase. every spot had a set of soil which was perfect. it was very easy to use and start up, the instructions were simple. i definitely recommend this for beginners or even senior gardeners!

Would buy again
Only giving 4 stars because the soil was missing from quite a few compartments when I received it. I had extra soil from another project so no big deal.

Pellets not so good; dome too low
This is about the Burpee Greenhouse Indoor Plant Starting Kit with 72 cells. The trays are very flexible, so be sure to have support when you move them (I used cookie sheets which worked fine). I started them in my bathroom with a good grow light and that worked fine. The down sides: (1) the instructions are poor, but luckily most of the procedure is obvious even to a construction ignoramus such as myself; (2) the dome is rather low and mine came with an unfixable downward sway towards the middle, moreover it is so flexible/flimsy that I could not prop it up (tried popsicle sticks); my snowpeas hit the dome well before they were ready to be hardened off and transplanted into my garden room; (3) transplanting was hard as the pellets are not enclosed in mesh (unlike the Jiffy brand); (4) transplanting was messier than with the Jiffy brand. All in all, this was not competitive with the comparable Jiffy brand set, but my seeds did start and the snowpeas transplanted well. The lettuce and rocket had more trouble than in the mesh-enclose pellets.

Great seeds starter!
Absolutely perfect for the price! It's a great size for the price, nice and sturdy, and the dome keeps everything nice and moist for germination.

Stick with potting soil and egg cartons
I really was hoping that this would be so much better than it was. Just as an experiment, I use the exact same seeds in regular potting soil in empty egg cartoons and also planted the same things in this tray with these circular pods that expand into some brown spongy consistency that things are supposed to grow in. I had about an 85% success rate in the seeds germinating in the egg curtains and less than a 20% success rate in this burpee product. Very disappointing as everything was done exactly the same with their tray and with the egg trays. Definitely was a waste of money. A 30 day guarantee does no good as you would never know in that amount of time unless you planted immediately and planted all fast germinating seeds. I tried to give it a longer. I'm hoping it would happen eventually but it didn't.

Works as intended although...
Before getting into this review, this comes with 3 trays, 2 black seed starting trays 36 cells each, 1 green larger tray to hold the 2 seed starting trays and a clear humidity dome. It felt a bit misleading because it is rather big, so make sure you have enough room for them! This works as intended to start seeds. I DID NOT USE THE INCLUDED PELLETS! I saw that some people were having problems starting seeds with the included pellets. Personally I would highly advise against using pellets to start seeds! Use a potting mix and sift out some of the bigger pieces to get nice fine soil to use to start your plants! My process was very simple and effective. I used a potting mix that was fine, literally right off the pallets from a local store. If you need to, sift the soil, I didn't have many large chunks of wood in mine so it worked fine.MOISTEN THE SOIL BEFORE PUTTING IT IN!!!If you make sure the soil is moist BEFORE putting the seeds in, you're creating a great environment to start gemination and preventing the seeds from shifting around too much for when you do your final top watering. The soil should feel like a damp sponge when you water it. Don't over water the soil!Put the soil into each tray and make sure to pack it a little bit, this will also help with having the soil not sink or shift too much when you add your final watering. After all the trays have been filled, put your seeds in to the appropriate depth.Afterwards top the trays with a little bit more moist soil, a quick water over and you're done! You have the option to use the included humidity dome, which I did, although make sure to let your trays air out every once in a while or else you'll have white mold growing, which I did and I would just pick it off and let the trays get air. This goes without saying, but, don't top water your seedlings! There's a reason there's a third tray included; bottom water the plants. Add enough water to cover the bottoms of the black trays and check back in about 30-40 minutes and dump/suck out any excess water. You can also check if your seedlings need any water by looking at the tops of their cells. If most of them look dried out, add more water to the bottom! One issue I have found was that some plants in the middles of the black trays would not get the water they needed and so I was forced to top water them, but, I was careful to not splash the water or have the water overflow into other cells.Another issue is the black trays' cells were extremely thin. I was a bit nervous transplanting some of my plants that I would break or damage the plastic. The holes at the bottom were just big enough for my pinky to go through so I would push the seedlings out and gently move them to their new pot. My hands are huge, so if you have smaller hands, chances are you might not find this to be too much of an issue as you can just push the seedlings from the cells with your finger/pinky.
