The original desoldering gun had an incredibly difficult to remove solder reservoir, and I ended up damaging the gun so it didn't work as well as it did originally. I purchased this replacement as it looked as if it would fit my desoldering station (a Duratool D00672), and it did. Works as well as the original.

Replacement
Had to buy a replacement Soldering gun, my original one got blocked and try as I might, I could not budge it; ended up breaking it completely! Hence the replacement, works perfectly but make sure you keep the nozzle free of debris.

Does the job. Cheap-ish plastic construction. CAREFUL: Easily becomes stuck with solder!
Does the job. Cheap-ish plastic construction.USE CLEANING RODS REGULARLY. Perhaps even with every few vias / components one is desoldering. Use the cleaning rods EVERY time you are about to turn the station off!!I had to order another gun because I foolishly let my first one cool down with solder at the rear / inner end of the element shaft. Solder will harden and become almost entirely impossible to remove if this happens. Which is what happened to me.

Great but fragile.
Great solder desolder iron. However, the iro will break at the middle of treated badly. Great, but take care with the unit.
