Let me first day that I have tried suction-cup phone holders, and they never stay stuck. Eventually, they fall off, and resticking them again usually results in a quicker fall the second time.I've also tried 'vent clip' holders, which arent stable and extremely fragile to the vent, eventually breaking the vent (which, in my case, cost $157 just for the replacement vent part).I went a year or more without a cell phone holder, trying to find the perfect mount type and location. I didnt want one that would block my view out the windshield, and I preferred one that would not block my view of the navigation display.I finally discovered quite by accident that I have a CD player in my console. Take a look in photo #1 - can you spot the CD player? Since I didnt know I had one, that means I really didnt use it for anything, and so I investigated this phone holder that makes use of the CD slot. I wasnt expecting much, due to my previous experiences with phone holders, but check out my other two photos!This thing is amazing! Sturdy mount. doesn't shake around on bumps. Stays put. Swivels in any direction. Easily readable and reachable. Gear shift knob moves freely under the phone in either landscape or portrait orientation, but your console will likely vary from mine. It's been a month of daily use, and absolutely no problems! The magnet is strong. One reviewer stated that the phone holder came completely out of the slot when he pulled his phone off. and called this product junk as a result. I disagree 1000%. The magnet is strong for a reason, and the easiest way to remove the phone is to slide it off to the right - easy! Dont pull, slide! There is no perfect place to mount a phone in my car...when mounted, my phone hides the climate controls...but I know them by feel, and I can easily remove the phone to make a change if need be. I love this unit!

I love this thing. Fits perfect in that worthless slot in the dash, snugs right up and hangs in tight. Super strong magnet for when you’re out hill jumping or just driving through Oklahoma or Ohio…. Maybe not Ohio, good grief fix your roads already. Anyway, it’s just handy as a pocket on a shirt and doesn’t have some slobber stain suction cup or adhesive that will never hold but somehow leaves a residue. Not to mention you can loosen one little wing screw and take it out and put it in another car or truck. For the price you gotta give it a try.

This phone mount is great - fits well in the CD slot, which makes it unobtrusive to your field of vision in the windshield. It is super easy to set up and secure, and the magnet is strong enough to securely hold your phone.One note - if you have a screen below your CD slot that displays music and your rear view camera, your phone may block it while on the mount. I don't mind, I just adjust as needed or remove my phone if I need to see the screen for more than a second. That's not the fault of the product though.

Of all the product in this style of design, this has been the (ONLY) product designed correctly. The ridges of the clamp plates are actually on the correct side correctly design to keep the hold secured in the CD player opening. I would recommend this product for stable & sturdy design. Good Job!👍

I didn't initially want a cd-mount cellphone holder, but all of the dash-mounted options I tried weren't strong enough. No matter how many potholes I drive over, this thing doesn't budge, nor does my phone. It's very adjustable; the part that connects to your phone can be placed at virtually any angle, and it stays where you put it. Love this thing!

This mount is one of the best I have tried. It inserted into my CD slot easily. It holds my phone securely and removes easily. The CD slot for my vehicle is the perfect location for me. I liked it so well I bought 2 more as gifts.

It took my husband less than 2 minutes to install the unit to our 2014 Hyundai SUV. When he drove around to complete some errands, this phone mount kept his Galaxy device in place the entire time. From the bumps on the road (construction) to train tracks, we thought his smartphone may fall off at some point. To our surprise, it never did. In fact, he had to work on prying off his handset from the magnetic part since the connection was that rock solid. 5 stars all around!
