Q: After shaking and pointing down, nothing comes out. Do I need to break a seal or something?

Did not have a seal to break on mine but I do have to press down hard on the nozzle.

Q: How much do you put on your hair. It doesn't tell you in the instructions?

At least start with foam the size of a 50 cent piece, add to the front of the hair and another for the back. Comb it through the wet hair. I f you want a deeper color add more. It always dries to a lighter color.

Q: Does this shampoo out when you wash your hair?

I love this Milk Shake color. I use 2 Different colors in my hair just about every time I wash it.. It fades some when washing, especially if you wash it every day.
