I've been on a health kick lately, trying not to end up on the dialysis machine like poor Uncle Couch Potato. In this monumental quest, I've stumbled across Emerald Labs' Bergamot Plus. Let me tell you, these capsules were quite the interesting addition to my routine! They're pitched as champions of heart and metabolic health which immediately got my attention since heart-health runs faster from my family than my nephew from zits cream.The capsules are filled with some pretty intriguing ingredients, like Bergavit 40, Pomegranate extract, and yes, 'Superfruit' Camu Camu - because regular fruit is so passé, darling. I'm no doctor, but they felt good going down. Plus, the fact that they're GMO-free was music to my health nut ears.Added bonus? They were easy on my stomach (thank gosh, considering my circus balancing meal prep and monster-taming activities). One less worry, Emerald Labs, you've got a fan in me!

I like this supplement. It is more than just Bergamot. It is really four fruit powders in one. I feel more energetic when I take it with my sports drink in the morning before work. It helps me to wake up more quickly as I am usually kind of groggy my first hour at work. It is easy on my stomach and I don't seem to have any intestinal issues while on it unlike other fruit powder supplements I have tried. This seems like it should be a part of my daily routine.

Right off the cuff I like that it is doctor formulated and clinically tested. I have used Bergamot supplements for almost 3 yrs now, to help keep my cholesterol levels in check. It works for me. I am excited to try this new formula which contains Bergavit 40 which is an extract from the Bergamot fruit from southern Italy. It contributes to cardiovascular health and metabolic wellness. This blend also contains Camu Camu, which is packed with vitamin C and antioxidants. Plus Amla extract, another powerful antioxidant high in ascorbic acid, and Pomegranite with phytonutrients, which can both reduce oxidative stress. The price is in the general vicinity of what I currently pay for another brand.

I am not really sure if these are affecting how my body processes what I take in or not. I can't really feel any difference either way. What I DO know is that the smell and taste is STRONG and not what I would consider pleasant. They would have to be really effective in order to outweigh that factor, and for me, they just aren't worth it. Hopefully they will help someone though.

Constantly on the lookout for ways to manage my cholesterol, given its familial nature, I turned to Emerald's products. Their commitment to being additive-free and using natural ingredients appealed to me. Unfortunately, despite these positives, I struggled with the strong smell and taste of the capsules. Additionally, they seemed to trigger indigestion for me. Thus, my search for that ideal pill to keep the doctor at bay persists.

I tend to lean towards supplements made from actual food since they usually are very bioavailable. Hard to tell if these work well as with most supplements since the gains happen gradually but the ingredients seem great. These don't have a bad taste for me and are easy to swallow capsules. I don't feel any worse after taking them.
