Bridging that gap
We have an airing cupboard door that is synthetic panels joined around a wooden former for the edges, and that former gets hinges and handles attached to it. Unofrtunately for us, the place where the handle should go is not where we wanted it to go, so we had to put handles where there is no wooden structure to screw into. Cue these screw/bolt/thingies.We placed the door handle we wanted, onto the face of the door where we wanted it to be (in line with an existing strike plate), positioned so that the latch and latch plate would align with that strike plate, and then just screwed through the thin synthetic door sides from front to back (making sure the drill bit was completely perpendicular to the door, so that the holes each side would align).Half of these screw-bolts are short and have the female part of the bolt that passes through the handle face, and the longer "male" part of the bolt goes through the door furniture and panels and the bolts each side are tightened against each other to get a nice firm fixing. There might be cases where the depth of the screw-bolts needs to be adjusted for slimmer doors (they come at a set length), and on cases such as these it will be necessary to shorten the male screw threaded section with a hacksaw. Don;t cut too much, try to establish how much to remove by trying an assembled pair against the depth of the door to get an impression of how much needs to be removed. These are good quality items, they join the handle assemblies each side very securely, and don't look as though they are going to come loose anytime soon.

Great for Internal Doors with Locks
Great for internal doors ! Right length, right width.New home developers only seem to want to use two small screws under the rose as it’s easier than all four (the other two difficult to access). We have ordered more.

Used to fit the door-bell camera on composite door.
Easy to cut to size but need need to size carefully. Need strong pliers.Significantly overpriced because you are buying a small number (two screws).

Incorrect size and will cost me more in fuel to return them so guess I just take the hit.
