Well worth the money

Wanted this because my PS5 slim doesn't have alot of USB ports and having the USB port at the back it was hard for my headphones to get signal from the dongle. Since buying this it connects to the front and I have had no connection issues. I rate this 10/10

Don’t get caught out! I saw this and ordered it for my son’s PS5 digital console thinking it would be a great accessory as he struggled for enough ports to charge his controller, headsets, gaming headset stand and cooling fan and it would be if you have a 2023 slim version.I’ve awarded it 4 stars as it’s good quality and well designed but unfortunately being a mum didn’t realise there’s now a slimmer version and it doesn’t fit the chunkier version, due to the usb ports being differently aligned. It does mention that it’s not suitable for standard PS5s hidden away on picture 3 but could be clearer in the header description.

Great accessory

This is a small but great extension for PS5 Slim consols is you find yourself in need of some more USB ports than the default number offered. It is very simple to install, just plug the item into the twin type C ports on the faceplate firmly and it's ready to use without further need of drivers. Especially useful for people who regularly play couch co-op games or one who have a lot of power-hungry accessories to charge. As per the warning in the description, if you use two plugged in controllers at the same time for example, the charging will stop or slow down to prioritise data transfer, so it's better to juice up your equipment before game time. However, if you play solo, you can use the middle-most USB to charge your backup controller without any effect to your game. There's a handy LED indicator to show the charging status, too. It is a well-designed and well-working product that basically let you exchange one of your front type C ports to 4 USB A ports and still keep one type C port as well, all for a friendly price (about £17 at the time of this review).
