Argentina Captain No.10 Yerba Mate Gourd, Double-walled Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Mate Cup for Keep Hot/Ice Coffee, Water, Tea and Beer, with Bombilla Straw, Cleaning Brush

We loved this Cuopru mate set. It came with a very large metal mate (cup), a bombilla (metal straw with a built in filter), and a brush to clean the bombilla. The mate holds just over 1 cup of water (measured without any yerba). It is just under 4.5 inches tall. The base is about 2.5 inches in diameter, while the mouth/opening of the mate is about 3 inches in diameter.The mate is a tribute to the Argentinian soccer team and its legendary stars Diego Maradona and Leonel Messi (who each wore the number “10”). The metal mate is mostly white on the outside, with two light blue vertical stripes on the front. The number 10 is printed in black, overlapping the blue stripes. Above the number “10” are the words “MATE GOURD”. Below the number “10” are the words “DREAM WITH US”. The inner surface of the mate (cup) has a matte finish. You can see a sort of "seam" inside the cup, which might be the parting line from being molded.The set came in an attractive blue and white striped box that would make it appropriate to give as a gift. It almost looked like a container for nice cologne.

As a proud citizen of the 2022 FIFA World Champion nation, I found this wet to be more than just a thermos cup; it's a symbol of pride, unity, and victory. This double-walled stainless steel marvel has become my go-to for enjoying mate, I still don't understand why you would have matcha or tea.The cup's ability to keep my mate perfectly hot is impressive. It performs its job flawlessly, making every sip a reminder of home and the joy of our world championship victory. The colors of the cup are a vibrant homage to our flag, beautifully capturing the spirit of Argentina with every glance.However, it does have a defect. if I could wave a magic wand, I'd wish for the gold legend celebrating our soccer triumph to be larger, making it even more prominent. It's not just a cup; it's a cheer for the Argentine soccer team, a daily reminder of our glory on the global stage. It's a piece that stirs conversations and swells hearts with pride, especially when accompanied by the included bombilla straw and cleaning brush, ensuring every mate session is as smooth as our team's path to victory.Cheers to the champions!

For almost 30$ it has a bad paint finish. White paint has a mark and in other areas as well. See photo.

It's been a while since I've drank Yerba Mate seriously, and last time it was from a traditional gourd. I love how this gourd is made of steel so you don't have to worry about letting it dry out like you would with a traditional gourd. The quality on this is very nice, it's well made and feels great in your hands. Also a huge fan of the Bombilla (straw) it's a spoon type but does an excellent job of filtering. I also really enjoy the theme on this, with it celebrating Argentina and their world cup victory, it just adds some fun to make this that much more special!Super thrilled with this and will certainly put this to great use daily!Would highly recommend and suggest to someone looking to get into drinking Yerba Mate or as a gift for others!

When my husband announced he wanted to get into Yerba Mate and that he needed a gourd, of course the first place to look was Amazon. The idea of needing special tools or cups threw me off a little. You drink it from a gourd? You sip it through a special straw!? Hmmm... and then I saw this great set with an insulated cup that looked really easy to keep clean. And it just so happens the guys in my house are big Messi and Maradona fans, so this set made perfect sense.Argentina, awesome. Yerba Mate... well... working on acquiring the taste - but having fun learning to make it in this set!

I've read all the other reviews of this product, and they are good reviews. Maradona was an amazing player, and Messi is equally incredible. Those penalty kicks to win the World Cup? Amazing. I follow the Argentina team, and I spent several awesome years in Buenos Aires. So to say that I was looking forward to this cup is an understatement. I was giddy looking forward to it.It is a very nice cup. Basically like half a thermos, vacuum sealed so the mate' (NOT Macha!!!) stays hot. That being said, there is one thing I really dislike. The logo is printed only on one side. 3/4ths of this cup is plain white. All the photos on the store page are a clever angle to make you think the entire cup is blue and white (azul y blanco!) but no. I was given the impression that this cup is likely mass-produced with a convenient and small logo printed on one side to sell as many as possible. I have no problem with the capitalism, but I got this cup to show my love for AFA. Now if I want to do that, I am going to have to carefully hold it with the logo facing out like a product placement in a movie for anyone to see it. Yeah, I don't like that. Still 4 stars because it's still a really nice cup. But man, those product photos are a lie.

Honestly it dos what it says on the tin, its a Yerba mate Steel shaped Gourd.Wonderfully crafted and the free Spoon style straw for your Yerba is a great combo.I drank a playadito as my first cup in here, and well i feel like steel dos not help deal with the smokiness, u can just use less heat in your water for a smoother ride..I am still new to drinking Yerba so i cant comment on much more then Yes it made a Cup, Yes it tasted just fine to my Wood cup. To be fair tho everyone who i talked to says Playadito is a easy first step into Yerba, to me it was almost like drinking Green tea.

As a football fan, the logo on the cup is great! I love this Yerba cup! The shape is perfect, hold the leaves in place while adding hot water throughout the day. I like the nice straw it comes with too.
