I was A little nervous on the purchase for a refurbished ACER Chromebook Plus, but once received, I could not find a mark on it, and it works great. It looks brand new, and most important this machine is fast ! I'm retired now, and don't need the Windows stuff anymore, so I mostly I do on-line shopping, email, and lots of reading. Watching videos is excellent. The larger 15.6 inch screen works for me. It's not heavy, but it's built well. It does not look cheap, and feels well built, and for the price, it was a steal. So much faster than my windows machine ! I don't know, maybe I got lucky and got a good one, but I'm very happy with the purchase. The Chromebook Plus machines are supported for nearly 10 years, so you will get updates. It's has an i3 processor, beautiful HD screen and 8GB of RAM. I liked this machine so much I wanted to do a review. I am NOT a paid endorser, just spreading the word. The ACER 515 has good reviews in many locations.

I bought this for my mom and am very surprised by how well it works. Initially, I was hesitant about buying used, but it looks brand new and I don’t see a single scratch on it. You’re getting a great deal for $200! I’ll be buying a few more.

Haven't had any issues the past two months. As a Chromebook Plus, it's great for everyday office and personal use and the Google Workspace suite. Just don't expect high end apps as you would have on a MacBook Pro or Windows laptop.

Most everything about this Chromebook is excellent for the price. The screen however, is the weakest part. It could be because it's just too large and in order to meet the price point, something had to compromise.

This chromebook is great. The screen colors are perfect. No glare that I've noticed. Very fast. The price was right too!

First is the volume out of this Chromebook. All my other Chromebooks suffered from low volume. Not this one. I like up-facing speakers as well. I am pleased with this Chromebook.

Never trusting Amazon’s renewed store again. Laptop will not charge or power on 3.5 months into using it. Neither Amazon nor Acer can do anything to help or refund the product. Infuriating.

I have had multiple problems with refurbished Acer Chromebooks this year. After many previous models (all refurbished) I'm yet to find one without some really annoying problem. I'm a layperson, a senior user. I use the power button to restart my Chromebook when something is wrong. That usually fixes it. This problem persists. I will have to return it and hope the next one will be better. I downgraded from the 516Ge model and was pleasantly surprised by the small difference between the 2 models. If I don't see the other screen, this one is adequate for most of my usage. This Chromebook is light, has power from both sides, and has no numerical keyboard making it easier to type in bed. I like the lighted keyboard on my previous 3 Chromebooks but it is not essential for me (a small bedside lamp is an easy fix). I'm a creature of habit for items I don't understand so I'll to order another Acer and hope for a better one.
