if you want something to cut things fast this is one of the best tools out there. it's better than a utility knife cause it can actually cut thick (3-4mm) fabrics and plastics easily without using any effort from the user.

I have more than a dozen Bosch tools and most are designed beautifully. I have been using cutters like this for over 30 years and this one was to replace a Bosch 1925 old cordless cutter which worked great for many years. Lets get into this cutter, it does its job at cutting and that's where the good ends. This tool is very heavy and even with a 6ah battery the balance is terrible, it is very front heavy. I am a man with medium to large hands and the grip is to large to be comfortable even for me. The grip pads are in the areas the your hand isn't and when you grip the tool it blocks most of the cooling vent on the bottom so it runs hot. The old cutters had a index finger trigger which is what these cutters should have and this one is a top thumb switch that is not natural for cutting. I will be getting rid of this one and reviving my old Bosch, this one is a huge fail.

This is a very heavy duty tool. It cuts carpet, boxes, cardboard, etc. I was actually looking for something more personal size. I do like Bosch Tools & this is typical in terms of construction and usability.

used it to take up a large rug. did the job in no time, Could not register it at Bosch, because it is sold from Germany
