I've always just used those cheap chrome nail clippers you can buy at almost any pharmacy. Bought these and was very impressed and was a bit surprised by how close they could get and I actually broke the skin while clipping my nails. User error of course but I will learn from that. The little extras are very handy also. Would definitely recommend them for anyone who maybe have back issues and find it hard to reach your toes.

As an elderly diabetic it has become increasingly difficult to practice good foot care. This device has made it so much easier to cut my nails and I would thoroughly recommend it for anyone who has problems reaching their toes while gripping cutters when the body is reluctant to bend and the fingers are not as strong as they once were.

These were bought for my mother who is starting to experience some reduced mobility and flexibility. She has said that these have enabled her to continue to be able to maintain her own nails without the discomfort of bending and stretching to use more traditional designed clippers. She confirms they are good quality and the handles provide a good grip. She has said she would look to replace if they were lost or broken.

I order this because the photo showed a opening of 12mm for thick toe nails. However, as you can see from the photo it was only 5mm. Not fit for my purpose, therefore I'm returning

Getting older can be a pain, and trying to trim your toe nails without hacking bits of toe, or finding you don't have the leverage to cut the things or if you have the drat clipper breaks, is to put it mildly a hassle!So far this has performed superbly compared to everything I have tried to date. It comes with a warning to make sure it's just the nail you are about to slice off, but because of its levers being set at right angles vertically it's easy to get this right compared to conventional clippers. It seems better at hacking its way through thick nails too.It comes in a tin with a screw driver and a nail file. I hadn't needed the screw driver yet and tend to use nail files for things other than nails, but they are good to have. The tin is quite tightly shut when closed and I suspect I shan't be using it with the lid on. Considering how much better these are than my existing clippers, I consider the price very reasonable.Definitely one of my better purchases.
