Bright and easy to install
Very easy to erect onto shed and bright enough to make garden more secure.

It's so bright, wow
I got this as I didn't want to run a mains cable through the wall. Using rechargeable batteries it should keep working until the summer. A good quality piece of kit, looks like it will last several years. It comes on when it should. Stays on long enough to do its job. Goes out after a decent period. All this is preprogrammed, so no adjustments. But I don't think I would have had it any different anyway. The added bonus is the remote. So you can turn it on and off manually. Then it reverts back to the motion detection after 5 minutes. I should have bought this years ago. I personally didn't think this was expensive and I think I got my monies worth.
F**!
I THINK IT WOULD SURPRISE YOU...
... to learn that there are VERY few outdoor, remote-controlled, battery-operated, single spotlights out there (that are NOT solar-powered) !! I know because I spent a good few hours trying to find one anywhere - not just on Amazon - and, in the end, I had to come back to this. All I wanted was a light for the garden that didn't need wiring up and that I could put on and off when I wanted it, remotely. I could NOT BELIEVE the trouble I had. Could I possibly be one of only a handful of people who need that kind of item ? Surely not. I didn't even require a motion sensor: I MERELY WANTED A SIMPLE LIGHT !!!So, what can I tell you about it ? You will have to persevere to get the battery cover back on over those large four D batteries - I had to get my husband to do it because I just couldn't manage and I notice that another reviewer actually returned the product on this basis ! Otherwise, the item is simple to install and even simpler to operate. I tested the remote from quite some distance, and from everywhere in our house, and I can report that it works very well (but don't forget that the cell battery is new); it does not need 'line of sight' to function.Because I do not require the sensor side of things, I placed some outdoor tape over the PIR in the middle. I don't want it to go off at any time other than when I put it on with the remote as that would be a waste of battery power for my needs.Talking of battery power, the reason I have knocked off a star for now - and it will be more should the problem continue/get worse - is that on a few occasions I have looked at the light to see the bulbs all illuminated, and I certainly did not touch the remote !!This is VERY annoying. It has done it both during the day and at night and it has nothing to do with the PIR as that is completely covered (and I have tried getting it to go off by waving madly at it during the hours of darkness and it has not come on - I have also tried removing the tape and there were still 'false activations'). So, I can only imagine there be two possible explanations: the unit is faulty, or some nearby device is interfering with the remote signal. When I press the 'On' button of the remote, the light stays on for 18.5 seconds and then goes off; I should imagine that it will stay on for longer if it detects movement whilst lit (if you use the PIR) but, as I say, I have not tested that side of things. That is not a very long time and it cannot be adjusted, but the plus side is that the batteries should run down less quickly.I shall update this review should things deteriorate/not function as they should but, for now, I guess I am recommending this item - after all, if it's an outdoor, non-solar-powered, remote-controlled, battery-operated, single spotlight that you are after then your choices are somewhat limited !!If there is something else that you desperately wish to know then please ask a question and I shall do my best to respond...FV

Not worth the money
Although it detects motion, is bright & weatherproof the first time i put batteries in it and closed the battery compartment the little lugs that are part of the push clips that hold the battery compartment together shattered so the battery compartment would not stay closed. After a bit of head scratching i decided to do a small repair to get this working.Once fixed i put it out where its going but after it got dark this light flashed on & off all night & its because of this i am now looking at other makes of light .

Design fault.
I purchased one of these lights and on replacing the cover after inserting the batteries, one of the clips broke. I returned this item and ordered another one and exactly the same happened; broken clip. I was very careful when replacing the cover to no avail. Not recommended purchase in present form.
