Good replacement for Ford original plate for those with alloys.
The spare wheel carrier supplied by Ford only fits steel wheels. So, if you have alloys, having replaced one with the steel spare you won’t be able to stow the alloy under the van. The centre of the Ford part doesn’t sit properly on the alloy so may scratch it and the bolt is too short to reach through.This spare wheel carrier plate has a longer threaded bolt which reaches through the alloy so the tether (or wing nut) can be attached. The plastic part sits neatly on the alloy so it won’t get scratched.
