Pretty slick rangefinder
No particular order, but these are a list of my pros and cons.Pros:-Slope indicator (red arrow) on side turns on/off angle compensation. It is required to be on for Tree (height) mode.-Rain mode.-Focus knob.-3 total batteries!-Case has bungee closure if you don't want to zip up. Includes caribiner too.-Fast readings!-Decent manual.Cons:-Red light is too bright and reflects off the interior glass, glows red.-Eye relief not good for those with glasses. The different modes all seemed to work well. I was really intrigued by the mode that can tell you the height of an object, I used it to determine the height of a sycamore tree in my back yard. It does the math very fast. I didn't get to mess with the mode to detect speed of an object. I can't really tell when that would be useful unless you missed a deer and wanted to see how fast it was running as it ran away.Note: I set the focus of the reticle against a wall in my house so it was sharp. But when trying to use outdoors, items were blurry even though the reticle was sharp. I just slightly, and I mean slightly, adjusted the diopter and the image focused and the reticle was still sharp.

Great range finder, with easy controls
This is a great range finder, both for golf or hunting. It has a slide switch on the side to select straight or slope measurement which is super convenient for me. The battery life is really good, and of course it has a USB-C charging port to make it simple.

I really like this Rangefinder, even if I have suggestions
First, genius to include both black and red displays. I have seen others that have a red display that is nothing more than a black when it gets darker. This is actually an illuminated red display, so even in the dark, if you have a semi lit target you can get the range and see it.Some things to note. The crosshairs and information are somewhat large on the screen which is fine if you don't have glasses but if you do, it sets your eye relief far enough back that you may have to adjust to see the whole window. I also wish the lit display had some way to adjust how bright it is. As it is, it's fairly bright. One tip, the battery is double packaged. So if you take it out of the first wrapper and put it in the unit, it will not work until you take the second wrapper off. Might save someone a headache. It's a great rangefinder. I like it.

exorbitantly overpriced – works perfectly – uses superior type field replaceable battery
exorbitantly overpriced – works perfectly – uses superior type field replaceable batteryAt the time of this review, this PFS2H rangefinder was priced at $199.99 which is exorbitantly overpriced compared to other Amazon rangefinders with similar features and high quality. This rangefinder deserves a full 5 Star Review, however, I took off one star rating point because of the exorbitantly high cost. This rangefinder works very well in the shorter hunting ranges I tested it. I also tested it at the gun range with supposedly 25 yard, 50 yard, and 100 yard targets. There are two very important advantages of this rangefinder compared to other hunting rangefinders:1) It uses a field replaceable high capacity NON-rechargeable Lithium Battery (CR2). You can carry a replacement battery with you in the wilderness and you can install it by simply unscrewing, and replacing, a watertight cover. Such a replaceable battery is really important to keep you hunting in the wilderness far away from an electric outlet.2) The NON-rechargeable battery is really important for safety. Rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries are known fire hazards. I have ordered many rangefinders that were only available with an internal, NON-REPLACEABLE, lithium ion battery. I was very disappointed that none of those rangefinders had the absolutely necessary Electrical Safety Testing Certification that proved that they were safe to use. So, I returned them. I only recharge Rechargeable Lithium batteries that have an electrical safety test certification label. I only recharge Rechargeable Lithium batteries inside a device, or with a charger, that has an electrical safety test certification label. A Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery Charger is a very complicated device that has a semiconductor computer brain chip and sensors that constantly monitor battery charging parameters. Those charging parameters include starting charge and ending charge voltage and current, battery temperature, and has Over Voltage protection; Over Current protection; and Over Temperature Protection. The computer brain also charges the battery via a very complicated routine that is constantly monitored and accordingly altered to protect the rechargeable battery. I am sure that many of the Rechargeable Lithium battery fires are not always the fault of a defective battery, but instead the fault of improper charging.
