Makes life much more convenient
I’ve been gravitating towards GoveeLife products recently because of their integration with one another. This fan is awesome! Yes you may ask why get a smart fan, for the features of course. You ever fall asleep with the fan on during a hot night and wake up bc it’s cooled down that you have to turn it off? If you pair this fan with the hydrometer you can set the auto feature which you can programYour comfort levels and the fan will adjust speed relative to the temperature you preferThe fans speeds are strong and quiet in the lower settings, I sometimes forget that it’s on bc you can set the lighting on the fan to turn off at night through the phone app.The nightlight is cool is you need that, can even adjust the brightness and COLOR.Place it by a window on a table top and you’ve got a great air circulator to pull in fresh air.It oscillates wide, and you can use the app to slightly shift the fan in another direction. If you like convenience, smart devices that work well with their other products, it’s worth the money.

Works With Apple Home via Matter
This is a quiet and strong fan packed with a lot of features if you use the Govee app. One feature that I really like is the ability to set the oscillation arc percentage. For example, if you place the fan in a corner you can set the oscillation arc to 90 degrees so the fan doesn’t blow into the walls. The Auto mode is another nice feature where you can determine what temp the fan turns on and off, and the temp range where the fan will automatically change speed until it reaches the highest speed you allow. The Auto mode can work with the fans built in temp sensor, or it is more accurate to buy a compatible Govee Bluetooth temp sensor. Pair the sensor with the fan and put the sensor away from the fan where you are sitting in the room. This fan does work with Apple Home (HomeKit) via Matter but it is not that straight forward about how to do it. My fan did not come with a Matter code stuck to the fan or in the manual. The Matter code is visible in the Govee app under the fan settings when you follow these steps:1. Download the Govee mobile app and create an account2. Add the Fan to the Govee app. The Govee app will automatically detect the fan.3. Connect the fan to your WiFi within the Govee app (it will prompt you to do this).4. After the fan is connected to WiFi you should see the Matter code displayed in the app under fan settings. I noticed that it did not display the Matter code right away. I had to quit the app a few times until it finally displayed the code under settings.5. Then use the Matter code to register the fan in the Apple Home app. The Apple Home app will know it is a Matter device after scanning the Matter code. If you are using one device (e.g. iPhone) you will have to enter the Matter code using the keypad rather than the phone’s camera. If you are using two devices (e.g. iPad and iPhone) just hold the iPhone screen up to the iPad camera to scan the Matter code with the camera. I recommend taking a screenshot of the Govee app produced Matter code so you have it for the future because there is no printed code on the fan.6. Apple Home will try to register the new device (fan). The first three times I did this it registered the fan but it displayed the “No Response” status that never changed. After deleting the device from Apple Home and trying another few times I was successful in registering the fan in Apple Home and it has been responsive for a few days now.7. From Apple Home app, you can turn the fan On/Off and control the speed from 1-100%. You can also start and stop oscillation from the Apple Home app but to do that you need to look in the fan settings within Apple Home where you will see a switch to turn oscillation On or Off.8. I noticed that after successfully registering the fan in Apple Home, the Govee app still was paired with the fan, but the communication method is Bluetooth rather than WiFi.9. One last thing about Matter and Apple Home. You must have a Matter compatible Apple Home Hub to use this fan. That would be newer AppleTVs and newer HomePods. Do an Internet search for specifically which Apple HomePods and AppleTVs support Matter if you are not sure.

This Fan Wins!
I was torn between this fan and the comparable model by Levoit. Both smart fans are compatible with Alexa/Google Home/Apple Homekit integration allowing for control via the mobile app or by voice. The Levoit model comes with a remote control with a built in crevice for storage. While both fans offer have 12 speeds, have built in scheduling and temperature control, I found the Goveee model to be more stable with stronger air flow, though a bit louder, but not enough to be a deal breaker. The features that won me over with the Govee model is the onboard color lighting and the customizable oscillation. The ability to customize oscillation is a feature I didn't know I needed as it allows you to adjust oscillation for improved cooling and to avoid unnecessary areas. The mobile apps offer similar experiences, though the Govee app has a "connecting" pop-up that appears every time you open the fan which is slightly annoying.I'm very pleased with the Govee fan and have been able to reduce usage of air conditioning as a result of the fan. I've now ordered two additional Govee fans for other areas of my home.

Great Govee product, once again!
Love, love, LOVE this!!! I have many Govee products, and this is one of my favorites! Govee doesn’t fail me, ever! The app is so easy to use and navigate, and all the different options are amazing!! You can choose to turn on/off oscillate, and also choose how far to oscillate! There’s a cute night light that has unlimited color options. The fan moves air amazingly! The room is an addition to the home and, unfortunately, was wood construction and very little insulation… so in South Florida, that room got so hot! But, now, the room stays nice and cool! Even in the heat of the afternoon, where the sun beats on that side of the house the most. I can keep it at fan setting 7, and even get chilly with it on. I love the auto setting - set the temperatures where you want it to turn on and off, or change the fan settings at a certain temperature. The options are limitless! It is SO customizable to your needs! It doesn’t take up much floor space, but it is nice and tall to move air well. It’s a fan - it makes noise, like a fan does. It is not overly loud, but you can hear it working when it’s on. Definitely recommend this product!

Convenient and Powerful – Perfect Smart Fan for Any Room!
The GoveeLife 42'' Tower Fan is perfect for anyone wanting smart, customizable airflow in their bedroom or living room. It’s sleek, and the app offers precise control, including scheduling and auto modes. The Nature mode is great for a light, natural breeze, and the fan is generally quiet. However, voice commands can be hit-or-miss(as a positive to this Govee is constantly working to improve third-party compatibility), and it’s a bit wobbly compared to other brands if you have pets or kids around. Still, the convenience and cooling power make it a solid choice.
