Use a pressure reducer.
Upon installation I found that this valve would not shut the water off completely. I was about to return it as I figured I needed a bigger float to put more pressure on the valve. Then I realized I have 60 PSI coming out of my home water supply! Duh! I bought a pressure reducer and it works perfectly!

Doesn’t completely shut off
I have this installed in my koi pond and it does not completely shut off. Will keep trying to adjust the float, see if I can find a way to create more pressure on the valve.

"Janky"
I should know better than to purchase cheaply made Chinese junk. Don't waste your money like I did. Buy American made. It's usually more expensive, but if a quality product is important to you, American made is the way to go.
