Excellent - just try not to think of it as Lego...
Really enjoyed building this, and the finished product looks great - especially with the display case.Just try not to think of this as a Lego replacement. Although it's building bricks, it's a very different experience and (dare I say it) more suitable for adults. That being the case, I wouldn't get this for a child or early teen, unless they have exceptional levels of patience! In common with most micro-brick products, it works based on building up layers of bricks, so there are comparatively few 'steps'. This means the instructions are less detailed and (as mentioned in a few other reviews) there are a couple of places where the pictures are not oriented brilliantly to work out, but those were relatively few. Also the pieces are sorted into bags more by size than by 'step' - which is fine, as long as you aren't expecting it to be the (relatively new) Lego process of 'open bag 1 to do these steps, open bag 2...' . More fun in the finding :)I seemed to be missing one piece, but given how many there were, it may well have been me losing it, and it didn't impact the finished model. My only criticism is that there are no instructions on how to fit the lighting kit. I haven't tried that yet, but it would be nice if that was included in or with the instructions.

Waterfall tearoom
Value for money as you get the clear box to protect. There were some missing part but I did get round that, plus no instruction how and where to put the light. But all in all I enjoyed putting kit together and it looks like the picture on the box, which is the mean thing.

Enjoyable but occasionally frustrating
A lovely set of not Lego. The set is well made and the pieces although small fit together well, no quality issues here. The small pieces are really quite small and this can make some parts fiddly but also creates a less blocky final model. The instructions were the only major draw back with a few bits being unclear and other bits not shown. Don’t get me wrong most of the build is fine but some sections require a little trial and error and one or two parts we just guessed. The finished model looks lovely and the whole thing was very satisfying as a mindful project.

Small pieces
This was a great build but be aware the pieces are a lot! Smaller than normal pieces. Also bags are random so space or storage needed to open them all and sort through. Definitely not for younger children.
