The Hasbro Beyblade Talon Ptera 3-80 B (Ball) Booster is a stamina type Beyblade (Japanese spinning tops) engineered by Takara Tomy (TT; a Japanese toy manufacturer) as collaboration to market the newest generation of Beyblade in the US. Despite being a Japanese spinning top, this Beyblade is only sold by Hasbro. The blade called “Talon Ptera” (which is apparently a Pterodactyl character) is marketed as a stamina type like the Tail Viper Beyblade (aka ‘Viper Tail’ by TT) it is modeled after, but seems to function better as an attack type blade. “3-80,” a 3-sided ratchet on the tall side, and a bit (the part of the Beyblade that makes contact with the stadium floor) called “B” which stands for “Ball.” B has a large rounded surface area that causes the bey to stabilize and creep towards the center of the stadium floor, employing an endurance strategy to try and out-last opponents. Unfortunately, running a tall ratchet and Ball is suited for stamina, and Talon Ptera’s blade design is better off with an attack setup (i.e. like 3-60 with Flat or Rush), so it has a better chance of utilizing the shape of the contact points on it’s blade. In addition, there is somewhat of a gap between the blade and the ratchet, and this can cause a burst and give 2 points for your opponent; which is bad news for you. For the record, this Hasbro beyblade seems to be made with the same materials as theJapanese TT tops. I can confirm that the Japanese Beyblade X launchers like the TT string launcher and X winder launchers both fit nicely on this Hasbro Beyblade (see my video). In conclusion, the Talon Ptera Beyblade X booster offers some collectible charm with its exclusivity, and should be welcomed by Beyblade fans. I can see interchanging the parts in this set with other beys and trying to participate competitively. So I can therefore approve of this booster release [believe me, this feels strange as I know full well of Hasbro’s sales strategy and cost-cutting measures over the last decade]. Credit where it is due, and if you are listening Hasbro, here is to a decent job on this release. May there be more like it with the same good quality as TT in the future. Cheers.

The product is good and even 5-0 Ed PhoenixWing yet the only flaw was that it came with no launcher but in the description it said it came with one. 5 stars but minus .5 cause no launcher.

Amazing beybade. The blade is amazing. It is like Viper Tail. The stock combo is not the best, but the parts are amazing, specially the blade and the bit. Give this product a try. Talon ptera blade is amazing for attacks and counterattacks combos. Use Talon Ptera 9-60T, 3-60T

Pretty good price, two for one! The beys are easy to assemble and work on the x launchers. Plus, the bits don’t really chip or break too much off of extreme finishes. They’re fun and flashy

I really enjoy this bey. I like that the ratchet is colored more than other ratchets and this bey has pretty good stamina.
