Works almost perfectly
Bought this to see who is at our front door. Wanted a camera that supported RTSP so it can integrate with the rest of the cameras around the house. This Reolink was very easy to setup and install, I opted for the POE version for better stability and reliability as I have a POE switch close by. The Android APP works really well and unlike lots of other cheaper cameras there's a proper full featured web interface on the doorbell itself, once you enable it. Likewise both RTSP and OVNIF are supported but need to be enabled. The other great thing on this model is you can if you wish switch OFF the "Cloud" connection and still retain full functionality on LAN clients.Video and audio quality is great but the only flaw I have found is the main camera feed is fixed at 1920x2560 with no option to change that. The second stream is only 480x640, so too low for most uses. You can however alter the frame rate and the max network bps, but this high main resolution does add load to DVRs. Something like 1080x1920 would be more than adequate. But this is a very minor complaint if you have a good network and a capable NVR/DVR s/w setup. I'm using Zone Minder with no problems at all. In case anyone needs it, the stream URL is TCP rtsp://<user>:<password>@<host>:554/Preview_01_main. You can find the camera IP address using the app which helps the setup.Time will tell how stable and hard wearing the doorbell is, but the initial install and setup have been a breeze. The chime seems to just work out of the box without any setup which is slightly spooky but there you go.Do bear in mind for the POE version you'll need something like a 15mm SDS drill for the ethernet cable hole and likely about 500mm long to get through a cavity wall!

works very well and good value
After seeing Paul Hibbert's review I investigated this door cam which seemed to suit my needs (decent quality, no monthly subscription). I have not been disappointed! As I have a number of PoE security cameras but also have the old fashioned 24 volt doorbell power supply, I had to decide which model to go for, and in the end I went for the PoE option even though it was more fiddly to install; I thought the simplicity of not having WiFi and a separate power supply and being slightly cheaper and in a nice white colour was what influenced the choice. I did have to use my Cat5 crimping tool to avoid drilling an oversized hole in the PVC door frame.I think Reolink could make the model numbers easier to distinguish as the units as on Amazon I kept clicking on the 'wrong' model. The first thing I did was switch off the silly black and white infrared night option; this was terrible and the 'daytime' setting works perfectly day and night, and the night colour image is actually pretty amazing.I did use the wedge and even then there is a small amount of wall visible on the image, but because my doorway is slightly inset this can't be helped.I also had to fiddle with the sensitivity, but that was expected. The audio and talkthrough ability works perfectly.I have yet to setup the FTP for off device recording, but have put in a micro SD card.

Great product BUT ...
Dave’s excellent review of 2nd February sums up the features of this great video doorbell but buyers need to check that this is the correct item for their requirements. Reolink make different versions with different features, POE/WiFi with/without battery; this POE version has a 3:4 display and is not the wide angled 16:9 model. Whilst working well with Reolink’s latest NVRs one key issue that purchasers need to be aware of is that as of this date it doesn’t work with some Reolink NVRs even those installed with the latest firmware; a problem Reolink are aware of but not fixed at the moment. Not an issue if you are not using a Reolink NVR or it is on a different network. If your Reolink NVR is not compatible then plugging this doorbell into the NVR gives you another camera but no notifications or 2-way audio. Worst still if the doorbell is installed and then a non-compatible Reolink NVR connected to the same network, the doorbell will not function even as a camera due to a changing IP assignment issue. In contrast enabling RTSP and ONVIF this video doorbell works well with the phone App and can be connected to non Reolink NVRs such as my old Swann NVR providing recordings remotely from the doorbell itself.

Great doorbell
Had a ring WiFi doorbell years ago but wifi was not very good where the front door is so returned that. Bought this doorbell and wired it into my home network with a POE cable and it has been flawless and very responsive. Easy to setup, doesn’t need any monthly subscription for storing footage - better then other smart doorbells that try and tie you into their subscription models

Don’t bother.
The time I lost trying to get this thing to work on WiFi (so I could get notifications), turned out to be a complete waste of time. IT SIMPLY DOESN’T WORK, regardless of the strength of my WiFi!!!! The instructions take a lot to be desired, there’re C**P!!! Don’t waste your money!

A practical solution for the video doorbell
This is a practical solution to avoid issues with unstable WiFi connection, frequent battery charging and power cable connection.I used the PoE switch located in the attic and drawn a slimline Cat6 cable to connect with this Reolink PoE doorbell. I used a 128 GB SD card. This should give sufficient storage for about 1 year. This works perfectly. I had a small issue connecting this doorbell with Mobile Network. I contacted the support. I found the solution from the Reolink support. This was to make the UID enable. The support also replied quickly with the solution. Before this, I tested with 2 different doorbells. One had intermitted WiFi connection issue and the other the battery which drained within few days. I also have the ring pine whole battery doorbell (unsubscribed). This does not give notification any more. I will remove this after 1 month or so.Overall this is a more practical approach to video doorbell.
