I'm not much of a reader myself, never have been but this is definitely one of the best series out there for its genre.

I bought this series for a teenager "in the system" whois a part of the case load of a former student of mine. I have not read the series, and it is not a genre that appeals to me, BUT my former student, working with our state department of child welfare, told me the young man was absolutely delighted to receive this set of books, which are not only allowing him an escape into his imagination, but also actively engage him in reading and learning.I can think of no better recommendation if this genre appeals to you or yours.

Haven't read them yet. Giving 3 stars only for the size of them. You know it's an issue when the size of the paperbacks are missing from the description. These are small books, little less than 8 inches. I own 17 major book series, including wheel of time, all Hardback. I took my chance with my first Paperback series, except The Faithful and The Fallen, which are nearly Hardcover size, cuz book 1 is over $800 on hardback, and the other 3 books are $100 each, for some crazy reason...These remind me of Mass Market, but a tiny bit bigger maybe...So I hope next time they add the sizes for books, usually they do, but sometimes they don't.
