As a barista, I ordered this tamping mat with the idea that it was going to be used a lot, so it needed to stand up to a lot of abuse. It has met those expectations. The mat is durable and easy to clean. It protects the countertop from getting dents scratches from the portafilter. I also use it to mute the noise from the stemming pitcher when I bang it down to settle the bubbles in my milk. Overall, I would give it five stars. Great product.

Great product for tamping your espresso without ruining your furniture! It is thick, sits on the edge of our coffee bar easily and doesn't take up too much space.
