Good image quality for small cameras - produces a side-by-side stereo image
It seems like the vendor really put very little effort into their product listing and simply copied boilerplate from other cameras. The main feature of this camera, of course, is that it's a side-by-side stereo camera - it produces a stereoscopic image pair that you could view with a VR headset or similar setup.I'm sure it also has machine vision uses but that's a little beyond what I've gotten into so far. The image quality is good for such small cameras, but it's not amazing. You're not going to be shooting high-quality immersive 3D movies with it.

Interesting but I am missing something
I am always trying to improve my web camera setup and I thought this might be a cool addition. It connected right up to any computer I used, Mac PC Pi. But the video is odd looking to say the least.Having looked for software or drivers to make it more useable, I was unable to find a solution.

Cool Little Stereo Camera
I plugged this USB stereo camera into my Windows 10 PC, opened the built in camera app, and immediately had a stereo view ready for capture... setup as simple as it gets.Picture and video quality is good. I included some still shots with my review that are unedited and straight from camera (not sure what Amazon compression/resizing is going to do to them). The lenses on the camera are very small and there is lens distortion (see the cut mat with grid that I included in my images). Software like OpenCV can be used to remove the distortion (I'm still learning this process). It is an exposed board without any sort of protective case but seems relatively sturdy.

Great little camera but limited use case
This camera performs well. Very crisp and clear images and frame rate is very good. It's marketed as a web cam but i don't see how anyone would use it for that purpose since it throws up two identical images side by side. I thought they would be overlayed but it's not the case which is probably my bad. They also mention facial recognition but Windows does not see it as compatible with Windows Hello sign in so that's out the window. With all of that said, it still is a good camera. Picture is really good for such tiny lens modules so i can't see docking any stars for performance. Just docking one for the somewhat misleading description.

Very pleased.
I don't typically buy expensive accessories like this for my raspberry pie projects because they're simply too expensive, and I typically need multiple of whatever I'm doing. So I typically avoid it. That being said, I bought one of these attested in man. I am not disappointed these things are awesome. If you're doing AI especially anything related to visual processing. This thing is fantastic, provides a very good signal. The fact that it's on a board allows you to basically build it into whatever you want. I'm very pleased so far. I can't wait to put this thing into use in a project.
