works well
Bought to help cool down my freshwater cold water tank with fancy goldfish. It is set to 74 degrees and when the temp probe detects the temp goes up over 75, the fan automatically kicks on and cools the tank back down. I did not hook up the light, not sure why I would need it since I have an aquarium light that comes on in the evening. Otherwise does fine.

IT DOES WORK
I was very skeptical of buying this. I did not think it would work that well, but it does work. Not as good as a chiller but it dont cost 200 dollars either. This keeps water at a range that my fish accept.

Fish tank temperature controller with temperature sensor
Had this at the last of last summer and it works great! Kept my tank at 76 degrees during even the hottest weather!

Missing parts
Got this for my axolotl tank. It was missing pieces I wasn’t able to clip it on to the tanks edge didn’t have a lights but I just set it on a piece of wood for now and I don’t need the light so it’s fine. Just frustrating that pieces are missing from something I bought new.

Designed for Smaller Tanks in Hot Climate Households
I don't have an air conditioned home, not central air anyway, so anything I can find that will lower the temp even a couple degrees is welcome. And that's what this will do, lower it a couple degrees or more. It's designed for a smaller tank in mind, so if you have something like a 10 or 15 gallon, it should work for you. The light is dubious, but the fan system is good. You want to blow the hot air away as best you can. I end up moving my tank into my bathroom in the summer as it's the coolest part of the house, and set up fans to try to keep the room from getting too overwhelmingly hot. Having something that skims air across the water itself is ideal. The noise is a bit more than I expected, but if it does the job that's going to be my primary concern. Would like it if the buttons weren't so hard to press, though.

Fan is working yet, but I don't like some feastures
Fan is working yet, but I don't like the following points so far: a) light worked for a day or two only, just now is not working anymore. b) The buttons on fan are stiff and require significant force to press. This can cause instability in the unit when it's already installed on the aquarium. c) The set up interface is not much friendly. It is not clear how to set up the target temperature. Despite the aforementioned, the fan manages to reduce the temperatura of the aquarium in 2 or 3 degrees Celsius working in the standard mode of operation.
