worth the money
I have used this grinder for four months daily. It works as expected; order a better model for Xmax from the same manufacturer.Pros: all mentioned in other comments.Cons: The cord is short and stiff, and the cap locking is a bit tricky and early to break (and still usable)

Strong Grinder!
This does not take up a lot of space in the coffee cabinet, but it grinds very well. Noise is not awful, pretty normal, and it is very easy to clean. Good price, and would buy again. Will last a long time!

Works well, but it has some design flaws
The first issue is its very loud compared to normal grinders. The lid design makes it vulnerable to breaking easily. The part of the lid that locks into place is easily damaged, and mine broke about a year and a half in. I tried to glue the tiny piece back into place, but it didn't last. I'm currently looking to obtain a new lid.

Save your money
The first coffee grinder I ever purchased was a Hamilton Beach model similar to this one. Same price, same look, but it included a grind setting and was automatic. Lasted for years. Looked to re-purchase, and discovered that they made it worse (eg. No grind settings, not automatic, etc.) But I figured that didn’t matter as much. However, the grinder is extremely loud—unbearably loud. And my product arrived with a broken part. I didn’t realize this until after I’d thrown away the box, which meant I couldn’t return it to Amazon. I contacted Hamilton Beach, and after some back and forth, they agreed to send me a replacement part. I received the replacement, and it arrived with a huge crack in it. I emailed them back, and they didn’t apologize or offer a different solution. They just said they couldn’t give me my money back. Their customer service is…not so great.I’d skip this one and spend a little more on a nicer model from a different company.

Good brand, but has some cons
I use this for crushing pills for a feeding tube. I have used this brand for years now. I like it because it can be taken apart and washed easily. I am not pleased with how LOUD this particular model is.I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this product. I have purchased Hamilton Beach grinders for years and this one is a piece of junk! I have had 3 of these now. One split down the side first thing. It builds up moisture, even without ever getting it wet, so you cannot get it to lock and it takes cleaning it with a Q-tip and alcohol and nearly 30 minutes each time to get it to lock and work. This is the worst model they have made. It is also VERY loud. They need to figure out a different system or something before I will buy their brand again. I give it a 0/10

Popped my cherry with this one
Size, quality, grind speed, working well. Are all key words the ask for during a review. Now for reality. My first one ever. Lid seems weird lining up to active the grinder. Only coffee for me, but works great. I like it. It grinds pretty fast and almost the perfect amount. Buy one virgin coffee been grinder.

A decent one for the price
It's a decent grinder for the price. I bought this mainly for break coffee beans for cold brew, which require much coarser grains than most of coffee grinder could provide. While one could control the grain grade by the timing with this one, it's really hard to get an even grade. After only a couple of pulses of grinding, some part is already very fine while may whole beans still remains intact. I think if they make the blades bend a little more, it would give much more even results. Another problem is the volume is actually very small. Although some previous reviewers had pointed out this, it's really hard to imagine how small it is from the online photos.
