I'm using this as a waterproof junction box on my ATV. Nice gasket and good latches. Cheaper for this purpose than a Pelican box and comes with the waterproof connections and a mounting plate inside for components. Good anywhere you need a waterproof enclosure!

The mounting system is a little confusing as it's just a plastic plate that screws into the back. No knock outs so you need to drill any holes you need.

I decided to put a 12v socket, usb ports, and led lights in my truck bed. I wasn’t ready to drill big holes on the bed to install the switches and sockets. I also needed a place to put the fuse box closer to the switch. It needs to be waterproof to protect the circuits. So I searched Amazon and found this box. They have several sizes and I had to measure all the electronics I planned on using to make sure it was going to fit. The dimensions were accurate. Drilling holes on the box rather than the truck bed made more sense to me. The good thing about this is that if I want to add more accessories on the truck bed that needed switches, I just add another hole to this box! The project is done and I’m really happy with the result!

I got this to put a POE switch outside. I have another box that is not as weather proof, but it has servered well for a few years. This time I decided to go with the waterproof box. Unfortunately, I did not see that this does not have predrilled holes in it. It is hard plastic and feels like it will break when drilling holes. Second, I bought this one as opposed to some others since from the picture it looked like there was a hole for a padlock on it. Once I got it, the hole is big enough for a piece of wire like a paperclip, but no where near big enough to put a padlock on, nor is it big enough for even a zip tie.
