Extremely loud peace of mind personal alarm.
I suffered a stroke in Oct. 2015 and wanted some way of attracting some-ones attention when I'm out and about if in the likely event it ever happens again. This little alarm goes everywhere with me now and it is extremely loud ! A simple pull on the cord and it's activated. It is so loud that no-one could really dismiss the fact that something is wrong somewhere thus bringing their attention to me. In my wallet and on the cover of a small note book in my pocket the words “Acute Stroke 31st Oct 2015” are clearly visible should anything happen again. If it does, I hope someone will come across my wallet or note book for identification purposes and seeing these words take the appropriate emergency action. Even if that “someone” was just stealing my wallet at least I would still hopefully stand a chance of them taking the appropriate emergency action. I would definitely recommend this small, very inexpensive peace of mind personal alarm to anyone in a similar situation as myself. On my recommendation my neighbour now has one and also carries hers with her everywhere. Again a definite recommendation to everyone. Thank you Eposgear. I do sincerely hope this helps others. Works great. Using for different purpose.
This alarm is loud. Like seriously loud. The longer it sounds the more piercing it is to the ears. The alarm seems to be well built and I've already recommended this to others.I haven't quite used it for the purpose it was designed for. I stuck this alarm to the wall next to my front door so it can be pulled to alert others in/outside of the house and scare off the would-be thief/attacker.A man knocked on my door and my mum answered. He tried to talk his way in but my mum had the good sense to call me. This incident made me realise I need to beef up security and this little device was one small idea. Fortunately the kids in my family are well behaved so they won't pull the cord or open the door to strangers.

Excellent
Fantastic device, I purchased this after someone was attacked in a park near us I got it for my mum who has now attached it to her mobility scooter as she does use that park. It is very loud, small and compact can be attached to almost anything. I just hope my mum never has to use it but of she does it will defo attract attention and hopefully scare someone off.

Does not work
This item came and it had been opened and put back the packaging was open and the alarm when tested sounded so quiet it was obvious the battery was already nearly dead. I do not wish to replace this item I want a full refunt.

Mini Minder Personal Alarm
The sound produced is extremely loud; ear-piercing, shrill and deafening like a really powerful burglar alarm. It is slightly thicker than I imagined (not excessively so). The only downside that the string seems like it could easily get caught in something and trigger the alarm by accident, however the pin it is attached to does seem to be securely in place; you have to deliberately pull it out so it shouldn't just slip. At this price however, you really can't beat it. I live in a densely-populated student area where there have been a lot of stabbings and sexual assaults recently so I just bought it for peace of mind really. Highly recommend.

AMAZING!! TOTALLY WORTH IT!!
I have never had a rape alarm before and this one caught my eye it’s great for the price! Also came early! BUT don’t let its £4.20 and free delivery fool you because it’s smallness really packs a punch to your ears that I scared half my work site into thinking something was wrong! I did feel really bad but it comes with a tester battery inside ready for you and it’s just amazing! Now sits on my keys that I hardly notice it and ready to protect me while I cycle at night time. Would so recommend to anyone!!

Good, loud
Unsure how much I like this but haven't owned any others to compare it to.It works, it's lightweight and its loud- it shocked me for a few seconds when I tested it even though I was expecting a loud noise. I think it could give you a few seconds to get away from an attacker definitely. The keyring is useful but I wouldn't want it on my keys because 1. my bunch of keys are already bulky and so is this alarm fob. 2. my keys are not always easy to access (in the bottom of my bag/zipped pocket etc.) 3. Ideally I need to keep my hands free so carrying the fob in hand isn't really a practical option. The easiest way to use it would be to put your belt/bag strap and just give the alarm a good tug to release the pin if needed (that way you wont accidently drop the pin like I did when I tested it which is a bonus). This is probably a more sensible approach to using it rather than as a keyring if you don't want to carry it in your hands. I do a lot of evening dog walking though and fear I may accidently set it off though if it catches on leads or something.Good item but I'm just not sure how practical for my situation it's going to be to keep it ready for use.
