Easy to use and great support
I purchased this and it arrived with just the test strips for hemoglobin (which I requested) but the the chip to program the strips. I contacted their support who were great. Someone got back to me stating the unit was preprogrammed and ready to go. I did my test and Horgan unusually (for me) high ready of over 140 ( I’m usually borderline anaemic). However randomly I needed a blood test at hospital a week later and I had been taking a low dose of iron tablets since the home test and the hospital result was slightly higher, as would he expected. So although I can not say with absolute accuracy the results that the results were 100 pc correct. They were very close

Impressive Features, Except Cholesterol Accuracy!
The Fora 6 Connect Blood Test Machine performs well overall, but I found the cholesterol test to be inaccurate compared to other methods I've used (GP). While I appreciate the convenience of its multi-parameter functionality and Bluetooth connectivity, the lack of precision in cholesterol testing is a concern. The other tests, such as glucose, seem reliable, but improvements in cholesterol measurement would make this device far more effective.

Doesn’t work.
I have had this for a week. Bought to check my mother’s haemoglobin levels. To see how she is responding to an increase in her iron tablets. My mother had just had her blood tested three times over five days, by the hospital lab. So I know her haemoglobin level. The readings from this monitor is all over the place! Only one reading may have been ‘accurate’. I thought maybe I am doing something wrong with the testing strip. I have been comparing the glucose reading with mum’s prescription glucose monitor over the last four days. FORA monitor would read about the same. Yesterday it was completely different. So I tested mum again on the Fora monitor. The glucose reading still was completely different from mum’s monitor. The Hb readings were extremely low. Potential hospital admission low.So, the Hb is widely off the Hospital Lab. results. The Hct readings are also different. The glucose completely different yesterday. I have wasted a LOT of expensive test strips. Is it user error? Am I doing something wrong? But I have been testing mum with her prescription monitor for two years for her glucose. Her monitor is also new and matches with the district nurses, and doctors readings. So I cannot recommend this expensive FORA monitor. I had also bought a new box of testing strips. At £17.00 plus for 25 test strips. I started a return for the monitor and the box of test strips; which were accepted, whilst at my Mum’s. Then when I got home I found I had opened the test strip box and for some reason used a strip from the box! Why? Who knows when I still had strips that came with the FORA monitor.I have given up, I cancelled the returns. I putting this down as one of those expensive mistakes.I’m a Carer for my frail, elderly mum. I’m too tired to bother just now with any of it.It is just so disappointing…..But, I have written this review to stop anyone else wasting their money. If you are looking to buy this monitor for Hb readings, I think you will be disappointed with the results. Normally I read all the negatives reviews before buying anything from Amazon. I have been buying from Amazon for over 18 years. I don’t make mistakes in buying goods. BUT I did ignore the negative reviews for this FORA monitor for the Hb readings.

Good machine for htc
I bought this machine manly for the hematocrit measurement. While this seems to be more intended as a function to better assess blood sugars and not particularly documented in the instructions, the machine still provides a value for hematocrit and hemoglobin, which are relatively accurate.I have tested the machine hematocrit measurements against my lab results on 3 samples:- capillary blood sample taken as per instructions : 50%- venous sample: 45%- venous sample tested by a lab: 47.2%So overall the machine overestimated the hematocrit by approx 3%, which is good as this is a conservative estimate for my case.Note the 5% difference between capillary and venous blood, which is perfectly in line with the physiological difference between the two samples well documented in literature.Overall I am very satisfied, this machine saves me hundreds of pounds and the hassle of having to have blood drawn by a nurse and with a little correction I can measure my hematocrit at home. Also very convenient is the price of the strips, just around £1 each, quite affordable compared to other brands.

Results not reliable
I was delighted to get this machine after my total cholesterol was found to be 7.2 from blood tests at the GP. Unfortunately, my levels from this machine fluctuate so much even with two tests done 15 minutes apart. Is my total cholesterol 6.3 like it was a few days ago or 3.5 or 4.3mmol/L the two results I got today? All fasting tests. The kit and test strips are very expensive if the results cannot be trusted.

The accuracy is excellent
The accuracy of the device is excellent. I am currently eating low carb and my nutritionist recommended this product. Plus you aren't required to do any calibration. It is super easy to use and the results appear in under five seconds. The mobile app IFORA HM automatically sync once you measure your glucose and you can export your readings to share with your health professional. I am very happy with the device. I have not tried the keto strips yet.

Hb reading is not accurate
I bought this specifically for its Hb measurement feature.I tested my Hb before going for one of my regular hospital blood tests. The Hb reading this meter gave was 8.8 and the hospital measured 9.4.I thought I’d test again when I got home to see if the meter was going to report 8.8 still - the second reading was 5.4 (this is an hour after testing 9.4 at hospital). Immediately tried another test strip and measured 7.4.And yes, I washed my hands properly first! This clearly isn’t a usefully accurate bit of kit for measuring haemoglobin levels. Not worth buying.
