This is a good umbrella, but I'm still undecided as to whether the LED torch, found in the handle is either a genius idea or perhaps a bit of a gimmick?The umbrella is well made with a single button to open and when finished, a repeated press will close the canopy, (but you do still need to pull it down into the compact, closed position). It does "ping" open with some force so best make sure no-one is near when pressing the button :)Around the edge of the canopy is a reflective strip so that car headlights will reflect and you are more visible on those dark, wet, UK nights.The torch element is found in the base of the handle and again is activated by a single button. It's OK, and should help pick out puddles but as it is integrated into the handle you can't really point it forward much without naturally then tilting the canopy and getting wet.The torch is powered by two button batteries (like you find in watches). These are found by unscrewing the base of the handle and just seem to "sit" in there, rather than being secured well in place. I guess button batteries help reduce the overall weight but maybe a more readily available AAA or AA battery might have been easier when it comes to replacing them.Overall then this is an umbrella of two parts. The "traditional" umbrella elements are done very well and the compact folded size is great for our needs. The second part, the mini puddle searchlight, I feel probably won't get that much use by us.

Very impressed with this umbrella, it's strong and sturdy, it has an open/close button which works as it should. It also has a hi visibility strip that goes all around the umbrella and there is a built-in torch on the end of the handle. Everything works really well, exactly as it should, both the torch and hi Viz strip are good and useful additions, especially for all our soon to come dark, rainy, windy miserable days and nights when we just have to venture out. The umbrella is very easy to use, there are two buttons on the handle for opening and closing, and for the torch. Love it!

Great automatic umbrella with a torch on the end of the handle. The high vis strip along the lip of the shade is a great touch to ensure you’re visible when walking busy streets at night. Materials seem robust and quick drying and the umbrella mechanism seems robust. I would rate this umbrella as a medium size, so a step up from the compact ones, whilst still being easy to carry around in a bag. Recommended.

Very well made umbrella, came with a cover to store it in, does feel premium and it is very easy to open and close if you are used to this design of umbrella that folds out.I do like the reflective strip that runs on the outside of the brim, since it is nearing the colder seasons where it gets dark quite quickly, this will be perfect for those days as it will make you be seen.I think the small torch in the handle is a little gimmicky, but it works alright, it is operated by a small cell battery that is easily replaceable.Overall, it is nice! it offers a lot and is well made for what it is.

Good quality umbrella, which feels sturdy, and which opens and closes easily with a mechanism that feels robust. A reflective strip gives some visibility when out in the dark, and that’s a welcome bonus. There’s a built in light at the end of the handle which again is a useful addition and which can illuminate those unexpected puddles. It’s not one of the smallest umbrellas I’ve ever had but it still fits in my bag quite comfortably. I wouldn’t call it compact, yet it’s still a reasonable size.

I like the size of this umbrella as it is easy to carry with me in my bag in case it rains. The button on the handle makes it very easy to put up and down even in harsher weather conditions. Although I did find I had to grip the umbrella harder in the wind I did not have any problems with the umbrella collapsing. It kept me dry and partly sheltered.
