Q: Is this basically a Israeli bandage?

No. Not event close. Far lower quality. For such a device, quality only really matters in a few key areas, but none of said quality is present in this product. I can list them if you want. The pressure bar isn't sewn properly; this can cause the main function of the device to fail (as some reviewers have noted). The one-hand loops on the front of the tail may or may not even be present, limiting the emergency application. The compression wrap is not connected with stop stitching, which prevents your bandage from rolling out of your hand and into the dirt. This problem is less about emergency sterility, which does matter if you can help it, but more about the time it takes to control the wrap once it's lost, resulting in more blood loss. The closure needs to be of high quality for several reasons if you're trained on such a device, and this one is not. This is trash. Spend the money on this one and one from PerSys (aka Care1) and see the difference. The latter is the original patent holder. A PerSys T3 bandage is absolutely worth twice the price. I can do 10x more with one of those than I can with ten of these things.
