You can get a piece of thin outdoor carpeting that would accomplish the same thing. This is a very thin piece of material that isn't protecting the bed of your truck from very much. Now, if you have a small truck and you just want something in the bed to keep from scratching a piece of furniture or something, this may work for you. But don't expect it to hold up to any kind of actual hard labor. It's ultra thin carpet with a rubber coated bottom. I actually have a very similar piece of material inside the entrance of my large tent. This item is better suited for rug duties than truck bed duties. I just can't rate this any higher than a 2 being marketed as a bed liner. As a door mat or a place for your dog lie to stay out of the dirt I'd give it much higher marks. As it is, this will serve a purpose for me, just not in my truck.

This isn't quite what I was expecting as it's basically just a rectangular piece of thin rubber-backed outdoor carpeting. I can't imagine it's going to do much to actually protect the bed of the truck. In my case, I was looking for something to put on top of my Decked drawer system, as it's very slippery and was tired of stuff sliding and banging around the back of my truck. I also have a topper, which is a good thing as this carpet is light enough that I can see it flying out of the back of the truck, even if it's tacked down with double-sided tape.Anyway, back to my use, it seems to work fairly well in preventing stuff from sliding. At least I can say things don't slide as easily as they used to. I can't say how this this will hold up yet as it's only been installed for a short time, and it's enclosed so not directly exposed to the elements.I'm not sure if I like or dislike this product, so can't say I'd recommend it, or not. If you're looking to put carpet in the bed of your truck to prevent things from sliding and for looks, this might fit the bill. If you're looking to actually protect the bed of your truck, keep shopping.

It worked

This carpet is thinner than I expected but that made it easy to cut to fit. It doesn’t slide around when placed in the car, even without using the tape. It protects the bed of the car from scratches, but things still slide around while I’m driving.

The size fits perfectly in the back of my car, and the fact that it’s cuttable makes it versatile for different setups.I accidentally spilled water on it, and to my surprise, it’s completely water-resistant—such a great feature for protecting the car. As you can see in the first photo there was nothing protecting the truck bed. The mat covers the entire bed floor. I made a few cuts to it which was super easy with scissors. I cut the double sided tape into two-inch pieces. The fabric comes folded up and it was bitter cold. The next day the sun heated it up making it easier to get the creases out. Once all the excess was removed (there really wasn't a lot left over) I now have an affordable way to protect the bed of my truck. This helps a great deal, and things are not sliding all over the bed! 100% recommend
