We purchased 2 of these metal litter trays to replace the plastic re-useable trays for our PetSafe scoop free self-cleaning litter boxes. The tray itself is great but the clip on plastic waste extender is not so great. Not happy about the litter that collects on the top/front of the clip on piece but the bigger issue is that it doesn’t stay attached. It clips on tightly but somehow keeps coming off and getting stuck on or behind the metal rake and the plastic piece that it attaches to gets pushed completely off. We have had them less than a month and this has happened 6 times so far. The whole point of this type of litter box is for less maintenance but now we have resorted to checking it daily to make sure the clip on piece is where it’s supposed to be. Checking it daily will not be possible when we are out of town for a few days or longer. The previous waste extender with magnets worked for a few years before it started falling off but it did not get stuck on or behind the rake or push off the plastic piece it was attached to. If we cannot find a solution to this issue we will have to spend more money and order the waste extenders with magnets again.

This fits well in the machine it was made for, no issues with catching or coming out. Glad to have a stainless steel pan so as not to have to deal with lingering odors!
