If you've ever gotten your weight and height measured at the doctor's office, then you'll know how this device works. It has a solid feel to it, and should be as durable as the ones at the doctor's office. It's definitely much simpler and more accurate to measure my kids height with this device. I am currently using a paper ruler that is taped to the wall, so quite a difference.That being said, there are some caveats to using this:1) Smart scale are pervasive right now, and you can get one at a pretty low cost. It can sync to your phone, so you don't have to manually track your weight, plus it also offers other measurements such as BMI. Like the ones at the doctor's office, this scale doesn't provide these features.2) One advantage of the paper ruler is that I can easily mark off how tall my kids, so I can observe their grow pattern. With this, it's more accurate, but I'll have to track it separately on my phone or in some journal.3), Battery compartment being at the bottom of the scale is more visually appealing, but it does mean changing the battery is more work if the height rod is still attached.Overall, it's a solid product, but probably more suitable for commercial rather than home use.

Good quality and easy to install. just takes couple minutes to finish. I buy it for my boys that i can care their height and weight every months and provide the growth needs.

The scale was simple to assemble, and equally simple to use. The weight and height measurements were accurate when compared with other scales I have and a measuring tape. Height measurement has both Imperial and metric units. The measuring rod comes in sections, so you only have to connection the ones to reach the maximum height that needs to be measured. The height rangefinder slides smoothly up and down the measuring rod, but remains in place when not be touched. The scale display is large and bright, making it easy to read. It's oriented in a way to be able to read it while measuring height.The scale comes with all the parts and tools to assemble it.
