I have now replaced nearly all my GU10s with these Osrams.They:- Are brighter than a standard 50W halogen in my opinion- only use 6.5W (the Amazon description is slightly wrong)- are a nice warm white- should pay for themselves very quicklyI have purchased quite a number of other LEDs from different manufacturers (Ikea, Philips, Homebase own brand etc.) and none of them are as good as this Osram.Please note however that this bulb is NOT dimmable. This is the Osram LED Star. The dimmable version is the Osram LED Superstar 7.5W. Unfortunately Amazon UK are not selling the bulb at the moment but it is available on the German Amazon for quite a decent price.

I have always relied on OSRAM for my lights as I have found them to solid, reliable and long lasting. These are great. Nice clean light, not murky, has a slight pinkish hue to them. Good beam spread and a genuine 50W replacement. Has a three year warranty too. I paid £9 here on Amazon, cheapest I have found.

Tried this Osram bulb and a 7 Watt dimmable Megaman bulb back-to-back. Both have a nice warm colour output (unlike some of the cheaper bulbs in the five quid price range) and both have a decent & even light distribution. I think the quoted beam angle of 36 degrees (same as most 50 Watt halogen bulbs) is probably wider than that (I'm guessing 45-50 degrees), but in high ceiling fittings at least the light does get down to illuminate floor level as well.On test though, the more expensive Megaman bulb does edge it over the Osram for light output. Whilst the Megaman is dimmable and about fourteen quid a bulb, it still has the edge.UPDATE 4th MARCH: Osram have a new 7.5W dimmable GU10 bulb which is now also sold on Amazon (385lm, 950cd). I've tried that one and have found the output to be actually slightly better than the Megaman dimmable bulb, particularly in high ceilings. Bizarrely, this new dimmable 7.5W bulb is also cheaper than this lower powered 7W non-dimmable bulb (!).

Great. As bright as a normal GU10m bulb. Look better when fitted and don't get hot. We brought 9 for kitchen & hall and are very please.Update 22 months later. (10th july 2016) having had these bulbs in for nearly 2 years now they are as bright as they were when we 1st put them in & all the bulbs are still working. These bulbs do have a 15 year guarantee.

When I ordered this Osram LED light bulb, the Product Information section above said it was dimmable. I installed the bulb: the light is bright, and warm colour is great - very similar to the halogen it replaced, but it's not dimmable. Or rather it dims a little, then starts to flash on/off at high frequency as the dimmer level is reduced. On closer examination, the Osram packaging indicated that this bulb was not dimmable. At first, I thought Amazon had just picked the wrong bulb, but the code -910355- on packaging is same as code in the technical info section in the product page. A quick look at the Osram UK web page shows that this light (910355) is indeed not dimmable, although they do a dimmable version "superstar". Excellent Amazon customer service gave me instant refund.

Fantastic LED down lights. These are very bright, turn on instantly, made of quality materials and fit my down light fittings with no issues.

Almost identically to ones we've had before from Osram some 4-year ago. Colour and luminosity is almost a perfect match to those original ones we still use every day.

Love these LED bulbs. I'm using them in my spotlights in the bathroom. The light they make is a nice warm colour, they're bright and they save on energy compared to other types of bulbs too. Very pleased.
