Q: I have an ac unit mounted in wall that is 27 inches wide and 16 inches high. The Ac unit stick out at 6.25 inches. Will this product work for me?

Hi the Battic Door Energy Air conditioner cover is white, 27-3/4 x 19 x 6 in deep inside dimensions. If you add a minimum 1/4" thick rubber gasket (peel and stick weatherstrip from Home Depot, Lowe's etc.), then the cover will accommodate your 6.25" AC unit depth and fit just fine. Q: We have baseboard molding just under the ac unit; would that be a problem?

You will need the trim all the way around the unit to be flush. You may need to cut trim the same thickness to place around the AC so the cover will sit flush against it to seal it.

Q: Is the inside of the cover lined with a form of insulation/foam?

Yes the inside is foam lined. It's a nice cover.

Q: How does the cover accommodate the electric cord? My units plug into outlets on the wall nearby. thanks

To cover it long-term I unplug and tape the cord to air conditioner then install the cover. Short term I just install the cover with it plugged in. The foam seal accomodates for the thickness of the cord.
